"His name is Borias Hemilton, he's.. an interesting fellow, if somewhat weird" he trails off towards the end and puts the emphasis on 'weird'.

"How so?" you ask, fearing the worst.

And the worst he gives you. "Well, nobody really knows where he came from, but he just suddenly showed up in the mercantile world and started making profits everywhere. These days, seeing him in town is considered a good omen since he seems to bring prosperity to everyone he ever comes into contact with.. even if the man himself is.. less popular than his reputation. He's supposedly a real pervert" he whispers that last part wich makes you feel like someone just hit you on the head with a sledgehammer.

Seeing your state of shock, he quickly asks if you're okay. You smile wryly and tell him you're just peachy in a not-too-convincing tone. "I'm only supposed to marry him" you drop the bomb nonchalantly as an aftertought. This time its the guild master's turn to look utterly shocked.

Neither of you know what to say after that and you sit there in a heavy silence for some time, trying not to look at eachother. Eventually, you get a grip on yourself and tell the guildmaster who is nervously fidgeting behind his desk that you'll be okay and that you're gonna go enjoy your last day of celibacy.

He nods quietly, not knowing what to say and you leave the merchants guild.
