The following day, Uncle Vernon stays home from work, and nails down the mail slot. Aunt Petunia was worried, but Uncle Vernon simply said, "These people's minds work in strange ways." The next day, on friday, the letters went through the side and the bottom. Uncle Vernon stayed home again, and nailed up the sides and bottom of the front and back door, so no one could come in. On saturday, the milkman brought in the eggs through the living room window, and letters were wedged inside.
