101: Call for help Lake

Pulling your self up, you stumble for a second before you almost trip and fall face first into a rock. Quickly catching yourself, you slide down onto another boulder and sit there for a moment before looking around. "Hello? Is anyone there!?" You shout, hoping a friendly can hear you. Waiting a minute, you call out again, slowly getting up and trying to find some one.
Then you hear a voice.
"Hallo!?" Your eyes shoot up and you smile. Some one is there! Looking around for the source of the noise and trying to figure out if you know the person behind the words.
Wait.
Hallo? Why would they say hallo? It is hello and even then you are supposed to say flash and respond with thun-
Hallo is German for hello.
You curse and quickly look around for the voice, then realizing you have no gun you slide down behind the rock, hoping the German did not spot you. Slowly you crawl into a bush and look through the foliage, your eyes slowly becoming adjusted to the view before you. The grass on the ground is swaying gently, the trees following their movements. The pitch blackness fades slightly and then you see him, a small German boy in a blue uniform, hardly over the age of nineteen.
He holds a K98K and is carefully stepping around the pond, trying to find you. He gets quite close to you and you can make out the fear on his face. This is just a child, he did not want to see war. He is almost passing your bush and you think of options.
