101: Ambush Lake

You decide it would be too risky to let him pass or give him a chance to find you, and even though you feel bad for him, he is still dangerous with that weapon. Chances are he did not have much of an idea of how to use it, but a gun is a gun and you could not risk taking a bullet. Your first idea is to toss a grenade, but chances are he had friends near by and you would probably need it for later. After a bit of searching, you find a mossy stone near the boulder you were hiding behind and after shaking it out of the ground you see that it is large and slightly pointed. Carefully, you get into a crouch and slowly slide around the boulder, the soldier oblivious to your movement. After what felt like an hour of sneaking, you find yourself directly behind the German.
Thanking god he does not have a helmet on, you raise the stone up above your head and throw it down to his skull. He lets out a yelp of pain as the rock smashes into his skull with a sickening crack before he fall over, dead. Letting your breath out, you drop the rock and scoop up his KAR98K before realizing you are crying, the tears running freely down your face as you realize you just killed some one even younger than you because he got over eager. Trying your best to fight back the sadness that is creeping up through you, you search his body and take his supplies.
