...take Novak to the park

You meet up with Novak as the dismissal bell rings and take his hand as you walk to the park, chattering pleasantly en route.
"So many people here," Novak observes as the two of you settle on a bench.
"It's perfect park weather," you agree. There is a game of baseball, a game of football, some girls hanging out by one of the barbecue pits, some boys tossing a Frisbee, and many, many couples cuddling in the grass on blankets. You give Novak's hand a squeeze and rest your head on his shoulder.
Novak gets the hint and puts an arm around you. You quietly people-watch for a while.
The afternoon wears on, and pretty soon it's 5:00. You and Novak both rise. "Where shall we dine?" he asks.
