"Nah, I might as well finish my job on the fields."

From Create Your Own Story

Your father nods and tells you to meet him at the blacksmiths later. Before you could ask him why, you suddenly remember that being a blacksmith was your dad's job. You face-palm, and luckily, your father already left. Even if he did stay to see your random fit, you were sure he was already used to your strangeness. Suddenly, you also remember that you had no idea where you usually worked at. Almost slapping yourself in shame, you decide to instead, follow girls of your age and see if they were headed to the same fields you usually worked at.

They did.

You were lucky this time, and you knew it. Your mother comes up to you and tells you to head to the Eastern Field to work at. "It hasn't been seeded or plowed yet, so take the oxen," she instructs and leaves you to work on your own. You look behind you and stare at the ox for a few brief moments before climbing up on the cart it was carrying. The cart was empty, save for the large metal blade it had to plow. You glance around and surprise yourself by finding a lone sword, its owner unknown. You decided to keep it for safe keeping. You turned forward and grasped the ropes that bind it to the cart. Unsure what you were going to do, you mumbled out a command, while weakly whipping it, "...F-forward..."

It didn't move. You didn't expect it to move if you were going to be this self-conscious.

"Did you forget how to control the oxen?" You turn around to see your father grinning at you with a wooden bow and some arrows in his arms. You blush and try to stutter your way out of the embarrassment. He shook his head teasingly and headed to your hut. "Just think of it as a horse! Oh, and the bow and arrows are for you...!"

He didn't say another word. So with a large breath, you took another try. You whipped it strongly and spoke firmly, "Go."

Eastern Field, here you come.
