You need a flashlight of some sort. You go back out into the Defendant's Lobby, slowly closing the door without attracting attention from whatever was inside, and get Maya and Pearl to help you out.

Finally, you find one without any batteries, but you happen to have some on you which fit perfectly and work properly too.
The cousins join you into the courtroom and, as you turn the flashlight on, you hear a deafening, blood-curdling scream. Followed after that was the sound of a nice, whip of a blade and a sound of a blood splatter.
Looks like this is going to be one hell of a mysterious case, it seems.
