Sniff the insides of the pointe shoes

You lift one of the pointe shoes up to your nose. You close your eyes and inhale deeply. Your nose fills with the scent of a young girl's foot. The ankle ribbons move of their own accord and wrap themselves around the back of your head. You try to pull the shoe off your nose but the ribbons have knotted themselves in place and the shoe is irremovable.
The dressing room door opens and a teenage ballerina gasps at the sight of you.
