With the police officer's back turned, you roll under the nearest car as quietly as possible.
You're in luck! Underneath the car is a manhole. In life the cover would have been far too heavy to lift but undeath has given you strength far beyond that of mortal men. Lifting the cover easily, you crawl into the hole, then replace it as silently as you can.
You find yourself in the sewers beneath the city. You can try and find your way out, maybe to the suburbs of LA county and beyond, or you can stay put and try and hide in the byzantine sewer system. Of course, you could risk it and go back into the city.
