Slaughter the brigands to the last man.

From Create Your Own Story

You begin to plant your feet and ready your sword before they're even finished showing off the vixen - clearly they've mistaken you for a man without honour, and for that they will pay dearly.

Your sword-arm suddenly becomes a blur as you cleave both pole-bearing lizardmen in half, their blood splattering over the vixen's light-blue coat as their reptilian forms crumple to the ground. She slumps to the road between them with her fur lightly soiled, but no worse for the wear.

The assembled lizardmen scarcely have time to react, their leader's maw only just opening to bark an order before your sword passes his teeth and impales him through the back of his head! You remain poised in pitching stance, having just sent your sword sailing 20 feet through the air to perform this feat - but you aim to retrieve it, and the remaining brigands can only hiss and trip over themselves in terror as you storm over the makeshift barriers they'd assembled.

Roxanne can only stare in bewilderment from between her fingers as you cut down the criminals like a man possessed; lopping off heads, severing limbs and tails, and sticking the fallen with your sword-tip for good measure. Within a minute you've felled them all, the shoddy wooden barriers of their toll checkpoint now visibly slick with reptile blood.

Roxanne has a moment to collect herself as you stand above their corpses, calmly cleaning your sword. She quickly acclimates to the necessity of the bloodshed and tears her attention away from you, falling to her knees beside your fallen enemies' ex-prisoner and checking for vital signs.

"She's breathing." she confirms with no small measure of relief as you approach, gazing up at you with questioning eyes as you sheathe your sword, "What should we do? Surely we can't leave her here to awaken amidst... Well, all this." she states, gesturing incredulously toward the corpses you'd left in your wake.

"As you say. I heard a river nearby as we approached - I'll take her to the water's edge, remove her bindings, and leave her to bathe when she awakens."

"That is exactly what we're going to do."
