The girl introduces herself as Emily, and you bring her to your first stop: the Principal’s office.
“This is where you seek counseling and guidance in our school,” you say. “Sure we have guidance counselors, but if you really need help, then you just go visit Ms. Master. I’m pretty sure you met her when you first got here, right?”
Emily shakes her head. “I just went straight to first period.”
“Oh. Well then,” you walk to the same office door that you’ve entered too many times to count. You twist the knob and knock on the door. “Let’s meet the principal.”
