You purchase a tennis racquet and hurry home. You don't need balls! Not for this sort of thing, that is.
You use the tennis racquet to bat the winged peanuts out of the air. They hit the ground and dissolve. You eliminate them all in a few minutes, which is a good thing because it only takes you a few minutes to break the racquet. Since you don't have anymore use for it, you chuck it out the window.
Having conquered the winged peanuts, you get on with things. You tuck your old-but-good dagger and your spellbook into your tunic pockets. Since you know that tentacled monsters move very fast, and that the monster was moving towards town, that your Valkyrie-girlfriend lives in town, and that tentacled monsters like doing... things... with scantily-clad young maidens, you decide to move quickly.
You:
- Rush off towards town to warn the people
- Rush off towards town to protect your girlfriend
- Use your long-distance magic to kill the monster from here
- Let the town and your GF die and go visit Grandma!
