You let the stranger take you to a strange, large, room, with creatures everywhere and cages filled with birds. This person seems to be a pet enthusiastic.
You are set down in a soft bed filled with feathers and lined with moss.
"That was supposed to be for my pets, but it'll do for humans too," the stranger says. "My name is Ken, and welcome to my pet emporium."
"Were you hired by Jen?" you ask in fury. Otherwise, why would he be in the middle of a maze Jen created?
"Jen?" Ken asks. For once, he actually sounds surprise. "No, no! Whoever she is. He-he. Me, like many other people, take residence here in the Labyrinth. No one has ever been able to find the way out, the tales say, so once we end up in here, we just never get back out."
"Wait a second," you say. "The Labyrinth is a city?"
"Of sorts, yes," Ken says. "A city filled with trade, goods, money, and of course, wonder."
"But...but...what about Jen?" you ask.
"Jen? I have no idea who she is," Ken replies. He sounds a bit worried. "Anyway, you rest here while I go...get some things. Okay?"
You nod to Ken as he exits through a back door.
"Hey," whispers come from somewhere as Ken leaves. You spin around to see its from a large parrot behind you. What?
"Hey, come over here," the parrot whispers.
