Hyde Road - Stay at the house
From Create Your Own Story
You glance across at his car. "Thank you," you say in a soft voice. The chill of the wind is causing you to shiver uncontrollably.
Is there anything in your car you need?" He asks prompting you deal with the here and now. You quickly gather some things from the car, including your rather large bag that was sitting on the back seat. He helps you, taking your bag from you and loading it into his car. When you are satisfied you have everything, he opens the passenger door of his car and you climb in, your teeth practically chattering. Snow swirls around inside the car as he hurriedly closes the door.
It doesn't take long till the engine is back on and the heaters blasting hot air into the vehicle, you angle some of the vents toward yourself, you are feeling thoroughly frozen. Your thick stockings are wet with cold frozen snow and it is like having your legs in ice packs, as the warm air blows over you it begins to melt leaving you cold and damp. You rub you knees trying to warm them. Your rescuer seems intent on the road ahead of him, the snow is coming down more thickly, and his wipers are furiously going wiping the snow away. It take about 5 minutes before he turn off the pass road onto track leading up into the mountains, you can't see clearly but it is definitely a wooded area, your speed has decreased significantly since you left the main road, not that you were going particularly fast to begin with. You stare out the window at the prevailing blizzard, you see the dark trunks of trees disappearing in the darkness.
It's been about fifteen minutes since you left the main road and you have finally stopped shaking. You are no longer cold but are still feeling pretty damp, the snow that blew in has now melted and the water has soaked up into your skirt, it feels uncomfortable. You have been sitting in silence since you left the site of your crash, you aren't really sure what to say, you were pretty stupid to be out here in a blizzard you are thinking to yourself. You scrutinize the stranger who has probably saved your life, it's fairly dark inside the car, light from the headlamps only lighting the top half of his face. He is wearing a thick grey scarf, and it looks like a heavy dark coat, you think it's a deep blue, he has short dark hair, and a strong jaw line. You look back at the road, the silence bothers you, but you can't think of anything to say.
