"Can I play with a friend?", you ask then and look at your mother with your eyes as big as you can and making the big puppy-dog eyes. Most of the time that works, except when you ask for an actual puppy.

But this time it isn't about a puppy, this time it is just about a you meeting and playing with a friend. "Sure. But you have to play here, okay?"

Bummer, you have hoped to get out of the house. But okay, you can live with that. "Okay."

"Good. So, who you wanna call?"

Oh, good question. You have several friends who you could ask to come over. There is of course Becks, Rebecca really. She is a really nice redhead who talks a bit much and can sometimes not be stopped when she wants to tell you something, but she is fun and actually really sweet. She only has a really uncool older meanie-sister, but that's okay, you don't want to be friends with her, just with Becks.

Then you could also call Parvati. She is a Pakistani girl who always wears long pretty dresses and a scarf around her head. She is actually really shy and nervous around people she don't know, but you like her because she is nice, she even helps you with stuff in school. Which means she is smart but is not arrogant about it, which is really nice and cool.

You could also call Chris. He's a kid a grade below you that plays with you at recess. He's nice, but he likes play fighting a lot. Any type of play fighting; Wrestling, Cowboys and Indians, Ect. You don't like them that much, but he seems to enjoy them.

Or perhaps you can ask Denise to come over. She is always fun and loves to play wild and has the prettiest skin, half-black and half-white, which you find really cool. She has two older brothers who are twins, James and Julius, who often play with you two when you visit Denise and they too are really fun to be with. Perhaps you can ask all of them to come over?
