There is nothing for it but to go forwards. You step into the shadows of the enormous gate. The ruins of walls line the path either side, but these are walls built from blocks the size of ox-carts.
Centuries ago this must have been a palace of a King twelve feet tall. Now it has been levelled, and the stones stolen for the field-walls and foundations of the villages all around.
