You walk over and stand between Ganta and the man. He laughs and asks, "Who's this Igarashi, your prison bitch?" This sentence is followed by 3 fast punches to the solar plexus, throat, and finally to the groin of the man from you. He seems to be a little winded from your punches, but he recovers quickly and punches you in your solar blexus, winding you and knocking you off your feet. He laughs again as you stumble to get back up. He ignores you and returns to being a jackass to Ganta. The girl shoves the man to the ground and is knocked out by a shovel to the back of the head. Then you hear an explosion and look up. You see the Deadman Wonderland globe falling towards you. You begin to stand and use your blood weapons, but before you can start to stand your arm is pinned and (you're pretty sure) badly broken by a large piece of debris. You hear the crunching, crackling sound as the debris lands on your arm. Damn it, I'm gonna die here under a big stone ball, didn't see that coming. Your head rolls and you see Ganta standing defiant against the falling globe. Noble, but useless you think. To your surprise, his blood begins to form into a ball in the palm of his hand. You see him fire it like a bullet at the ball. The last thing you see before passing out is the globe shattering into a hundred pieces.
When you wake up, you see that you are in an infirmary next to the boy who pushed the cart on your first day. "Hello," you say to the boy. He returns your greeting and starts to ask you questions. You tell him your name, but start avoiding the truth about your arm when he gets to that. He lets it drop when you told him you were in the yard. About an hour later, a nurse comes in and says you have a visitor.
