D&D: You aproach the guard and the gatekeeper and inquire about the trouble

From Create Your Own Story

As you approach, the two turns towards you. The gatekeepers ask you if you need something and you answer that you overheard them talking and you are curious.

"Well, I just came here to ask if you've unleashed monsters accidentally into the sewer again. Some lads came back up and screaming that demons were invading," the guards says, with a rugged sounding voice.

"Well, I'm not aware of any accident but if you wish to talk to the Headmaster he is in his office," the gatekeeper says.

"No thanks, I'm good. We'll keep your students out of the sewers until we clear this up," The guard replies as he looks at the school and shrugs a little nervously, obviously uneasy with magic.

The gatekeeper nods as the guards starts to walk back into the town.

You rub your chin curiously. You've always been curious. It's part of why are you a mage right now but it's got you in more trouble then you can count. Still you can't help it.

"Now don't get any ideas," The gatekeeper warns, giving you a stern look as he notices your curiosity.

"What, me?" you answer him with a soft and feigned innocent voice. As you give him your sad puppy eyes but he knows you too well to stop giving you his stern look. You smile a little mischievously and walk out into the city. Maybe this day can turn out to be interesting.

You wonder where to start investigating.
