D&D: Female Halfling Fighter
From Create Your Own Story
No one expects a halfling lass to be a dangerous fighter. Seriously, no one. Not even other halflings and they should know. You are shorter than most and your race isn't known for bravery nor for great feats of strengths and your people also doesn't really have any kind of warrior tradition. And that is a fact you make use of. You love the dumbfounded face of those you surprise with your throwing daggers in their face or your shortblades in their kidneys, you sometimes even find it hilarious.
You needed some time to make a name for yourself as not many like to talk about how they got their ass kicked by a small woman like you and even less would believe them, even in such a city as Waterdeep. But now, after several months of mercenary and adventuring work at least some people know your name and you have already heard rumours about a small she-devil who is a monster with her short blades and in truth a mighty dragon cursed into this form. It mustn't be said that the first time you have been told this rumour you have nearly choked on your ale, so hard have you laughed.
As you make your way to the local tavern you attract the interest of several people, like always. Not often that they see a young woman like you, barely reaching their hips, dressed in a light chain shirt, armed with two shortsword and a lot of daggers, carrying with her the head of an orc bandit leader who had raided the caravans in the last months. It could also be that they just check you out, as you have shining red hair you wear in a high braid, a cute face and big, chocolate colored eyes. Well, you are certainly not the most beautiful gal in the city, but you are far from ungainly or ugly, you would even say you are pretty.
You check in with your employer and get your fee for the orc bandit leader, one thousand gold, and then you find yourself free for the next employment already. You notice a group of young, and apparently inexperienced, adventurers sending looks into your direction, apparently not sure what to make of you. You also see that the Bulletin-Board is filled with possible employment opportunities, perhaps you could check it out. There is also the fact that your last meal-ticket, the orc bandit, had certainly not worked alone and perhaps you can track down his partners. Or you can just lean back, kick up your feet and drink a good ale, something you haven't done in a while. So, what now?
