Knowing you are not going to back down, you ask, "Why don't you sit down and I'll put in a movie?"
"That sounds like a plan," she says. She has a smile on her face, and find yourself wondering just how long until the smile leaves her face.
She sits in her usual spot, which is good for you since it will give you a good view of her face one the movie starts.
"This is one that just came out," you say. "I don't think you've seen it." It is difficult to keep your voice calm.
"That sounds good to me," she says. "I always like watching something new with you."
You give a little smile and thing, 'I don't think you want to watch this one with me.'
You open the bag, making certain she does not see the other things you brought with you, and pull out the video. You walk over and insert the disc and head back to your spot on the couch. You press play and wait.
