"Lars, do you ever think about if things were different?" You start as you close your legs and try to adopt some level of modesty on the bed.
"I'm not sure I understand the question Princess. There's a lot of different ways that may be answered. Provide context, please"
"Well, you know, between you and me. Like what if the rules were different"
"The rules are there for a reason Princess" Lars responds quickly and soundly, as well as boringly
"Maybe" you return "but that's not the question. If you could change the rules so we could be together, would you?"
"I don't know Princess. That seems rather selfish, to change or ignore rules that have stood for generations just for my own benefit."
This is proving to be impossible. How can such a selfless man survive in such a place? You decide to change the question "What would you do if you weren't bound by those rules?"
Lars scratches the back of his neck for a second, nervous "The priests find that talking about ignoring and breaking rules makes people more inclined to do so..." He takes a deep breath "That said, Princess, I would like to make you mine, exclusively. I have no desire for the throne, I just want you. I would work my entire life to prove that I'm deserving of your time and presence."
