Wishful Thinking/Amina's Wish
From Create Your Own Story
“You will be my Servant Mistress from now.” Amina declares.
“Servant Mistress? What do you mean?” You ask her, trying to figure out what she’s talking about. Then you realize you are wearing her pendant! “Wha- How did that get on me?” You ask loudly and then notice that Amina’s tattered clothes are no more. She is now wearing a thin white dress – so thin it is see-through. She’s not wearing anything underneath and you can see everything. “Wha- what- what is going on?” You stutter in confusion.
“To cut a long story short: I am a genie and I just granted you your wish.”
“Genie? Wish? What are you talking about?”
“I guess it’ll be best if I explain everything. Alright then – listen carefully. I am a genie and I can grant an unlimited number of wishes. Whoever wears that pendant is my master and I must grant all of that person’s wishes, no matter what they might be. When I am the one wearing the pendant I have no master and so I can grant anyone’s wishes if I so desire.” She pauses, giving you a few moments to assimilate what you have just heard. “When you said ‘I wish I could help you more’ you made a wish and I granted it. Now this is where the fun part begins. You see, normally I can grant only other people’s wishes, but NOT my own. However YOUR wish made it possible for me to grant one of MY wishes, and as a result you are now my Servant Mistress. You wear the pendant so technically you are my Mistress. Which is good because now I don’t have to worry about the pendant falling into the wrong hands. However I get to approve any and all wishes you make, so you have no real power over me.”
“You've got to be kidding!” You say.
“You wish.”
“Actually, yes, I wish this was all a joke.”
“Sorry, ain't gonna happen. Remember, I get to approve all your wishes, so if I don’t approve of it I won’t grant it.” She smiles sweetly. “In other words there is no escape – from now on I belong to you and you belong to me. But look on the bright side: you get immortality, eternal youth and eternal beauty. Plus I will grant you nearly every selfish wish you can come up with.”
“This… cannot be…” You say weakly. In your mind you go over everything you were just told and get the feeling that Amina didn't tell you everything.
“Yes, it can be, and it is. And yes, I skipped a few details in my explanation, but it doesn't matter.”
“How did you-”
“…Know what you were thinking? It’s because I can read your thoughts. After all, how can I grant your wishes if I don’t know what they are? It’s not always possible to tell me your wish for one reason or another, so this is to make sure that I’ll always know your wishes. But enough talk. Let us go – we've stayed here long enough.”
“Go? Where?”
“Actually, that’s a good question, 'mistress.' I wonder should we go first?”
