You walk away from the desk and slowly approach the padlocked door. You know if that this doesn't work, nothing will.
Grabbing the blade from your pocket, you press the small button on the side of the handle, and the narrow blade springs up with surprising speed and deadliness.
Bending down, you carefully stick the blade into the lock and jiggle it around gently. You've never done this before and aren't sure if it will work or not, but you have to try.
You spend almost five minutes twisting and pushing at the switchblade, becoming more and more certain that nothing will happen and you will be stuck in this room forever.
Suddenly, a shout sounds out from directly behind you, instantly echoing around the massive room. At the same moment, the lock clicks and opens. You freeze in shock. There's someone behind you.
