“Give me a strategic assessment of my options”

Chancellor Ingsbruck begins to list all the viable options available to the state.
“Our situation is most dangerous your majesty. I will be frank, and brief.”
“The first option at our disposal is an alliance with Hunneriz by political marriage. As an unwed Queen it is fortuitous that the Khan of Hunneriz, Allun the Great, is a young leader of 25 years, and also unwed. By allying with Hunneriz we guarantee our survival, but forgo our diplomatic freedom by tying ourselves to a far larger state.”
“The second option is to invite the army of Welyn into our lands to fight Belklund. Welyn is also at war with Belklund, despite lacking a border with them. By allowing passage through our lands we can have our rival Welyn crush Belklund decisively.”
“The third option is to borrow from the slavers of Yordanne in order to pay for the elite Mercenaries of Shield Hall. Their services will surely turn the tide of battle. The only obstacle is their steep asking price.”
“The fourth option is to fight them ourselves. Our troops are currently faltering at Castle Arngard, and if the current situation persists Belklund will be upon the capital city in just under a month. If you travel north in person perhaps you can turn the morale of the troops around by your inspiring presence.”
“And of course, the final option. There is always… surrender.”
At the final option the ministers of the Great Hall gasped in dismay. The thought snaked through the throne room like an icy wind, sending shivers down everyone’s spines.
