Each human has his/her own Natural Electromagnetic Field(NEMF). Thus, it is possible for devices to utilize this field to transfer data within a 10m range of a human (NEMF of a human extends to only 10m) with a transfer speed up to 80mbps.

For devices to be able to utilize the field, it has to be equipped with a HAN receiver/transmitter AKA the HAN I/O: (insert picture here)

Basically, the HAN I/O has a crystal core with a laser generator on 1 side and a detector on the other side. The I/O's average size is about 4mm in length.
