The Metropolis of Nawako, known in Coullan as Showi Mahasap Gan Nawako, known informally as Nawako, is the capital and largest city of Coulla. Located on both sides of the Chaeul River's mouth into Nawako Bay, Nawako is sometimes referred to in both English and Coullan as "the city on the river" or "the city by the bay".

Nawako is the most populous city in the world, and is divided into several city wards, each of which are governed by a respective mayor and city council. Nawako has a registered population of about 22 million, and the Nawako Metropolitan Area (NMA), which takes up all of Nawako Prefecture and parts of the surrounding prefectures of Aoken, Bol Patal, Himbako Kuong, Nakoho, and Sanedam, has a population of over 40 million.

Being the capital city of the most prosperous country in Asia, Nawako is a magnet for foreigners trying to escape oppression in their homeland and find a better life. Nawako also attracts a lot of tourism, due to it's warm climate and sprawling beaches, along with thriving industries such as technology and fasion. Due to it's major league football (soccer), and baseball teams, and due to it being home to the Coulla International Open tennis championships, Nawako is a favorite destination for sports fans from all over.

History

Wabon Garden was built to honor Emperor Mahana Hakowul in 1456.

The town of Hui, a small fishing village in the early 1000's, was located on the south side of the Chaeul River, and on the easternmost tip of the Grand Coullan Plains (Mikui Saka Saramawappon). In 1069, the seat of the emperor of the kingdom of Chuime, the precursor of modern Coulla, was moved to the town of Hui, which was renamed Nawako, meaning "eastern capital" in Coullan. As the kingdom of Chuime grew, it became the leading power in Coulla, and is the background of the current emperor's family.

Geography

Nawako is located on the Grand Coullan Plains, the largest area in Coulla not home to mountains. Central Nawako, located on a delta created by the Chaeul and Sehe rivers, is home to mostly flat land.

Nawako's climate is primarily tropical, and it's average daily temperature is 30 degrees celcius in the winter and 37 in the summer. Along Nawako's beaches, the water is a Caribbean-blue color, but the water maintains a darker and blacker color along the seaports due to heavy water pollution from the 106 thousand ships that dock each year.

Districts

Nawako is divided into five city districts, and each district is divided into several city wards. Below is a list of these districts.
