Critical Reception

Most of the reviews on this album were generally positive at a high 78% average, however most did not like the idea of mixing two different style of movie together to do a musical review conclusion. Especiall when one leans more on violence, while the other concenrates on mostly romance elements. Professionals praised Ophelia for her well balance between mixing original music off the movie's soundtrack with new elements and her well neat lyrics.

Award winning soundtrack composer Kim Jin Sung also lend a hand on this album, hence raising the then expectation for this album.

Choi Ill Joon of Cyworld Monthly Music gave this work a stunning nine out of ten and claims the music allows anyone to feel the change of atmosphere immediately. He says, "Ophelia is one great rising talent. In areas of singing, composing, lyrics of course - but she also has a hidden talent - to create great music and knows if they make the audience feel a certain way. We see her debut single Heartstrings [...] Beautifully written and allows the people to view exactly like it. People would definitely want a lot from her first album but with no set date for it, you can experience it more early in this - being Sympathy for Mr Lady.

Alone by judging only its' music and lyrics it will most likely deserve a full point but as a new artist there will certainly be missing holes no matter what a musical genius you're born to be. This album describes the beautiful sad story behind a clown who is a man and a violent murder who has no fear who's a single mum raising her own daughter. Since Ophelia makes suspending music that makes its' audience feeling that very exact certain way she aims for, in this case it leaves us feeling depressed for life yet optimnist but angressive enough to kill [...] In the end a very strange mix. That's possibly what she aims for, in that case successful but certainly very deep for a sixteen year old. Something you would expect from rapper lyricst Tablo being her mentor.

She has gained me successfully as a fan. After hearing her #1 single, I immediately thought she was worth more than an idol but she was yet to set what her musical style is. There's no reason for her company to promote her as an idol figure but maybe her music wouldn't have received enough attention it has right now - which would be a great shame. It's surpising that her targerted idol audience of teenagers are more than accepting of her music and is a great sign from the usual below average repetive songs from idol groups today. Her talent and depth in music exceeds as most senior artists out there today. Moreover track #3 Blood Brush Strokes, #4 A Kind Hearted Clown and #7 Red Eyeshadow has been on repeat in my house ever since its release. After hearing this, I am can assure I will keep an eye out for all her future releases.
