The album includes five songs and five bonus tracks, it includes two discs; the first features all five songs which Andria either completely composed or co-composed herself while the second disc includes bonus songs such as piano and accoustic guitar covers. One month before it was set for release it was titled Ephemeral meaning short lived; the album as described by Andria is on young and un-lasting love. However it was changed last minute to Mellifluous Ending instead due to the album theme change and is now based on young and sweet innocent love that hopes to last for enternity.

Production for the album started in the early months of 2011. Orginally planned to be a full album, it was changed to a bonus track mini album half way through composing for unknown reasons.

Soon after the release of Ophelia's debut Korean single Heartstrings it climbed quickly onto top of the charts and critics warmly supported her work. Giving an average 87% of approval, in terms of her vocal abilities and style. Rumors were quick to say she has a mini album as a planned follow up debut work sometime this year. In February 2012, a week after the release, in a 10Asia exclusive first interview she personally announced the album has been titled as Map My Mind but no other details were released.

The first five tracks are all inspired by the personal experiences of Andria's first love. "It is very sweet but since we're both young I do not know how long it will last," revealed by herself, "hopefully the opposite of the album title." hence the album tited Ephemeral. Intro track Emollient composed by Andria is described to be slow ang smoothing tracks that would get people right on the mode; exactly as the words means: having the power of softening and relaxing. It is a four paced accoustic guitar track with no digital edits. Followed is the track Our Dalliance which is a medium up beat track that features Korean artist 2NISE. It is about the first fliration stage of a just met couple and describes each other's feelings in two perspectives; the male (through 2NISE) and the female (through Andria). Third track Mightnight Confession tells the story of a girl confessing to her love at midnight after a hours long chat with the ideal boy. Composed by Cinderella the team behind various #1 hits, it is considered to be the title track of the mini album even though it is not heavily promoted.

The album was reported to be recorded during the same time of her debut Japanese mini album in studios in both Japan and Korea. Originally all of the five tracks were composed and produced by Ophelia but officials deemed them to be unsuitable for the Korean mainstream market taste and pulled out four tracks. Popular South Korean ballad trio 8Eight worked on a song especially for Ophelia and was later put into the album. Indie artists VRose and solo singer Tae Jun are featured as guest artists. All of whom were confirmed to be volunteered to participate to be part of the album. The recoridng process took three weeks but the musical making took as long as six months.

Fourth track Demure featuring award winning artist Dll Ini is a song on the beginning stages of love; shy and reserved. It is regarded as one of the most popular tracks off the album and debuted at #1 on the Oricorn Daily Chart. The strong and soulful voice of Dll Ini accompanied Andria's soft and smoothing style completely. The last track on this album composed by Andria along with singer song writer Baby Blues is Mellifluous End which ends off the album as it is a song about the sweet and smooth flowing promise the boy had made to the girl. Orginally the song was titled Mellifluous Lies and is about the things a boy has told in order to hide the shameful things he has did, but was changed last minute when Adria decided it was best to end of the album with a happy ending.

On March 21, 2012, officials confirmed the news and said the album will be released sometime in April, however there will be no active promotions as Ophelia will be away overseas for her filming activities. In early April due to personal reasons, Ophelia paused all of her music releases. There were no set release date during the time. Almost six months later in October her officials confirmed an mini album release and eventually released the track list and album ocver over the course of two weeks. It was scheduled for release on October 30 but on the day of the release, just two hours before hand, her company withdrew the planned release and postponed the album indefinitely.

The second disc includes another five songs that Andria includes to show her gratitude towards those that supported her during the making of the album. The first two tracks composed by South Korean soul group Soulstar was especially for Andria as a gift and was orginally not planned to be part of the album, however it was decided upon hearing the the songs that they will be added. Ingeune is actually performed by the group, writing the lyrics, describing Andria as a stubborn and never giving up young woman that strikes for perfection no matter what.
