Coffee Musicians is a project collaboration group between indie artists and mainly underground composers. The front department is made up by three solo artists together; Lee Yeon Joo (main vocal), Ophelia (vocal and lyrics) and Mr. Kid (vocal and rap). While their music is composed by sweet potato, Subway Space and Corner Musicians. It's known for creating music that is subtile for playing in coffee shops, hence the name of the group.

The group's first short unofficial album was released online in 2009, however with a different member line up at the time. Thhe spreading of its music was done through words of "netizens," who positively received the group's music. Praising their fresh style of music. They remained underground until the release of their first album Instant Pig in 2004, selling over 80,000 copies[citation needed]. Since then, their music has been used in various television commercials, shows, and films, and they have been given the chance to perform at various events.
