Name: Josaiah Whytte

Profession: Pikeman, previously farmer.

Original Location: Berkshire, England.

Physical Description:
Josaiah stands at 5'5" with a stout, meaty build. He has a round, ruddy face with a flattish nose and blue eyes. His light brown hair is tied back in a loose ponytail. He wears leather boots, undyed wool socks, orange hose, brown breeches, a white linen shirt, and a heavily patched black doublet. He also wears some armour, but that is mentioned in the equipment section.

Character Personality and History:
Josaiah grew up on an Oxfordshire farm, never expecting anything different or remarkable to happen to him. He'd spend his life working the land, and was content with that. Unfortunately, this was not to be. In 1641, Parliament declared war on the King, and soon Josiah found himself in the Royalist army, having exchanged his plough for a pike. After the battle of Edgehill, he was posted to reading as part of that town's garrison. It was besieged by the Parliamentarians. In March of 1643, Josaiah decided he had had enough. He put some food and as much money as he could gather in a bag and crept away, deserting his comrades. He crept through the besieging Parliamentarian army- after sneaking past their pickets, it was easy- he found he was able to walk through their camp unopposed. After a few days' travel, Josaiah was walking through a wood. He was exhausted and needed a rest...

Josaiah is a gruff but friendly man. He's blunt and speaks his mind, but is quite generous and amicable.

How did your character get to Tír na n�g?
He decided to have a nap. Eventually, he found a clearing in the woods, and lay down to rest. He didn't notice the ring of tiny mushrooms. Without realising it, Josaiah had walked into a fairy ring and fallen asleep inside.

What is/are their goal(s) in Tír na n�g?
Simply to get home.
