Cfcot:Policy
From Cfcot
Use of the CFC-OT Wiki site to flame other members of the Civfanatics center will result in your IP being given to the CFC moderation staff. Constant misbehavior will result in your IP being blocked from the Wiki at the discretion of the Wiki Staff. A good general guideline for expected behavior is the CFC Forum Rules.
Wiki-specific Rules
- Adding disinformation to other users' pages is prohibited.
- Spam pages are not tolerated—what is humorous and what is beyond the pale is determined at the discretion of the Wiki Staff.
- Self-flattery—"so-and-so is widely regarded as the funniest poster ever"—is prohibited. More information.
- Use of the Wiki to advertise is prohibited.
- Keep articles on topic. This is supposed to be about the Civfanatics Off Topic forums; we don't need a detail analysis of Civ4 strategy or Venezuelan eating habits here.
- All relevant facts are permissible on a user's page. The discussion page can be used to determine whether a fact is relevant or not. If a fact's veracity is called into question, we can institute a system like the one Wikipedia employs. If users want to have a personal profile that others are not allowed to edit, then they can user their User:username page.
Exceptions to CFC Forum Rules
- Public discussion of moderator action is allowed for cases in which the subject at hand is relevant to the history of CFC.
- By definition, the wiki-equivilant of "personal threads", articles about specific users, are allowed. Otherwise, there would be no point to CFCOTWiki.
