Rachel Grey

Rachel Anne Summers is from the Marvel Universe, more distinctly Excalibur and the Uncanny X-Men comics. She is the alternate-timeline daughter of Scott Summers and Jean Grey, from a world where Mutants are oppressed and herded like animals into concentration camps.
She is notable for her abilities similiar in power to her mother's, and for her strong sense of character. She was originally created by Chris Claremont, and is copyrighted to Marvel.
She is played in Canon Wars by Varis, her played by is Claire Danes, and her journal can be found at mistakenflight.

Information
History
Rachel was born in the timeline known as Days of Future Past. Also known as Earth 818. In this future, mutants were hunted and killed, in attempts to eradicate Homo Superior.
Rachel was enslaved in her early teens after the X-Manor was breached, and her psionic abilities were subdued by drugs, her mind controlled by unorthodox methods. She was used as a Hound, and branded, to track down her fellow Mutants and aid in their decimation. However, even with her powers subdued she was powerful enough to form a bond with each of her victims, their suffering fueling her own rage and despair. Eventually she turned on her captors, and was thrown into a concentration camp, where she met up with a resistance.
Together with Franklin Richards, Kate Pryde, Magneto, and various other mutants they orchestrated an attempt to try and stop their future from happening. Rachel attempted to send Kate's consciousness back in time to her younger self, but actually got her wires crossed and sent Kate into the Kitty Pryde of Earth 616. Lots of other things happened with that, and it ultimately ended up with Kate meeting up with Dark Phoenix, striking up a bargain to give Rachel a second chance, and then when Rachel and Kate go on a suicide mission to get rid of Nimrod, Kate mutters the words 'Dark Phoenix' and rip Rachel's body and soul away into Earth 616.
Here Rachel hangs out with the X-Men for a while, joins up with Excalibur, hangs out there for a while, and then she ends up getting stuck in the future trying to save her baby brother, Cable, from some stuff.
She becomes the Mother Askani, but most of this isn't important since it was RETCONNED.
So, we won't go into it.
anyway, Rachel is lost in time for a while. Cable FINDS her, stuck and brings her back. She hooks up with the X-Men again, and shucks the name of Phoenix, as she is no longer bonded with the Phoenix and only possesses residual energy from the being.
Rachel takes on the name of Marvel Girl, and uses an old uniform her mother had designed but never wore. She then ends up joining Ororo Munroe's team of XSE operatives, and they go and do various good things. Along the way, Rachel butts heads with Emma Frost, and loses, due to being an inexperienced psychic. Because while in a feat of raw power, Rachel greatly outstrips Emma, she lacks the emotional conditioning and experience to surpass the woman at this point in time.
Emma and Rachel form a truce of sorts, although Rachel is never exactly accepting of the former White Queen.
shortly after this incident, Rachel and the others go into the Savage Land, and Rachel's mind is messed with, and she inadvertently re-writes her own genome into that of a Dinosaur-like existence, demonstrating how very powerful her powers really are.
She gets better, obviously.
After House of M, Rachel leaves the X-Mansion for a time, feeling uncomfortable with the Sentinels posted around the building for the protection of the few remaining mutants. She goes to live with her grandparents. At the same time, a Shi'ar Death Squad was sent to eradicate her and the entire Grey line, to eliminate the potential threat of the Phoenix.
Rachel is the soul survivor of this event, and to this day bears the mark they placed there, branding her, and making it possible for the Shi'ar to find her, wherever she is.
after these events, she and several other friends were pulled into a world between worlds by Betsy Braddock's brother, Jamie. There they faced the First Fallen, and as a result, Jaime was lost. Supposedly.
Rachel comes to Purgatory shortly after these events.

Upon arrival in Purgatory, Rachel was reunited with her mother for the first time in years. She was overjoyed to see the woman, although she was also deeply troubled, due to the fact that Jean had found love with a man who wasn't her father, while Scott remained with Emma.
She ultimately ended up distancing herself from her mother and father both because of this, and spent a lot of time in her room at the X-Mansion.
The few instances where she got involved personally in their lives was when Professor Xavier switched Jean and Emma's consciousnesses, and Rachel had to go and forcibly reverse the process. It was the first time she had actually felt furious towards the Professor, and one of the grounding factors leading to her acquiring an apartment off-campus.
She was just moving out when Bobby Drake ended up showing himself in Purgatory, and she offered him her room.
Since that, she spent an increased amount of time with Iceman, because he was someone she had infrequently talked to back on Earth 616, and he didn't half act like he felt sorry for her because her parents weren't together.
In the process of this, she started developing romantic feelings towards him, which complicated things significantly, although she pretended he didn't reciprocate those feelings (although she knew he did, which is part of the reason she didn't dare act. She didn't know if she felt for him because he felt for her, or because she actually felt for him.) and their friendship continued, full of antics and Emma-hating.
It was only after a disaster in which a little boy named Jamie created a time-freezing device to neutralize Frank the Bunny that Rachel finally gave the feelings she had for Bobby the deserved thinking they needed. She'd had to subdue Frank after the initial effects of the time-freezing device were reversed, and after throwing up a Teke shield to throw off the power of the device when it was first activated she was already tired--the energy used to hold the rabbit's mind almost sent her into a state of collapse. It was Bobby who took her into his arms and into his room at the X-Manor, and let her recover. And it was then that she realized fully for the first time how she felt about him, and she left, more angry at herself, but pretending anger towards him (due to some off-hand thoughts about her parents.)
A few days later, Bobby commented on her journal, and despite her still sorting through the mental red tape, she ended up flirting--and effectively tormenting--until she got a proposal from him, which she declined.
However, the next day she showed up at his door and, well. One thing led to the next, which led to them ending up in a relationship.
The fact that she was happy with Bobby is heavily overlooked by her peers and family, however, and as of yet the only person who she knows to support her feelings for Bobby is her mother. In fact, it seems like it's entirely her fault that her father has currently detached himself from the X-Men. Rachel isn't about to let this deter her, however. If anything, it'll make her more persistent in her relationship, if only to prove that they're all wrong about her, wrong about Bobby.
In other news, she's participating actively in a team again, assisting her uncle, Havok with unifying and helping the police force over the island to deal with law enforcement, Mutant and otherwise.
