Motomiya Daisuke

Daisuke Motomiya [本宮 大輔; Motomiya Daisuke] is the holder of the Crest of Courage and the de-facto figurehead of the Chosen Children from the series Digimon Adventure 02. His Digimon is Vmon (Veemon in the dub), and he carries the Blue D3, and the Digimentals of Courage and Friendship, bequeathed to him by Taichi Yagami and Yamato Ishida, and he eventually gains the Digimental of Miracles as well. He's incredibly boistrous and loud in personality, with a stubborn streak a mile long, but he's incredibly loyal to those he considers his friends, and is always willing to give people a second chance, no matter what they've done. Daisuke is constantly rushing into things, and has a habit of screwing up when he does so, but he's also the first to turn around to go clean up the mess he made, as well. He is obsessed with Soccer, and grew to idolize Taichi when he joined the Soccer Club back in Odaiba, and through that, he grew to have a crush on Hikari Yagami.

History

Pre-Chosen

Daisuke's life was relatively normal until August 3rd, 1999, when he and his family were captured by Myotismon. It was this interaction with Digimon, that he would grow to forget in three years time, that eventually lead him on the path to becoming a Chosen Child.

Post-Chosen

Having recieved Taichi's goggles as a symbolic rite of passage, Daisuke quickly took over leading the Chosen Children, though he's more inclined to listen to his friends than order them around. Their first adversary was the Digimon Kaizer. During a soccer match against Ken Ichijouji, Daisuke injured Ken's ankle, and a scuffle in the Digital World later that very same day would lead the Chosen Children to learning the Kaizer's identity was that of Ken. With this new knowledge, the Children eventually make their way to the Kaizer's base, where Ken's Digimon, Wormmon, enables and helps Daisuke to help stop the Kaizer from his rampage.

Daisuke is the first to forgive Ken, much to his friends' chagrin, and to Ken's surprise. Daisuke felt that Ken needed a second chance, not because he didn't know any better, but because, for one, it was in the past, and two, Daisuke understood that Ken was truly sorry. However, it's not until XV-Mon and Stingmon, the evolved forms of Daisuke and Ken's digimon, merge and become Paildramon that Ken accepts Daisuke's offer to join the team. The Chosen Children then go off to do what they do best -- save the world, countless times.

Purgatory

Daisuke awoke on Purgatory rather confused, but he's settling into his life rather well, though he misses Vmon like crazy, and is attempting to aid Ken as much as he can to find a link between this world and the Digital World, so they might retrieve their Digimon. He currently resides with Ken, and works at a noodle stand in the Asian District of Purgatory. He also really hates fangirls, due to his recent discovery of fanfiction pairing Takeru Takaishi with Hikari and Ken, as well as fanfiction setting himself up with Taichi.

Misc
