Kate Bishop is a character from Young Avengers. Although Eli (Patriot) is the leader of the group, it's obvious that has a very large part in how the group functions on a regular basis.

Information
Background
Coming from a wealthy background, Kate was never the type of person imagined to become a superhero. However, one day, she was raped and it was this rape that pushed her to learning numerous different forms of self-defense that gave her the abilities to become that superhero. During her sister's wedding, the Young Avengers (Eli, Teddy, Nate, and Billy) crashed in and during this, she showed some of her prowess, making it possibly for her to come out alive, as well as the Young Avengers.
Afterward, long with Cassie Lang, she went to the Avengers Mansion. After a long perilous battle with the future Kang the Conqueror (the Young Avenger's Iron Lad), she ended up showing that she deserved to be on the team. For some time, however, the actual Avengers tried to stop them from becoming superheroes.
Later, however, they changed their minds. It was then that Captain America encouraged her to become the third Hawkeye.
In Purgatory
She has entered and shares a place with Tommy. A very small place where he sleeps on the couch.
