Hatake Kakashi

Hatake Kakashi (born 15 September) is a character from Naruto. He is the leader of team seven, which contains Naruto, Sakura, and, at one time, Sasuke. He currently lives in a hotel and appears to get by without a job. He's still late to everything, but that's to keep people from thinking there was an alternate reason to it.

Information
Background
Quite possibly one of the most genius ninjas to ever become one, Kakashi reached the level of Chounin at the age of six. Compared to Naruto, Sasuke, and the other ninjas later, who tried to reach it at age twelve(which was quite an accomplishment), this is something that is obviously very rarely done. He was known to even hold some of the talent that his father—Hatake Sakumo—held, and possibly had the capabilities to surpass him. However, when he was young, his father made a mistake and chose to save his comrades over finishing a mission, and as a result, he became a disgrace. Kakashi's father ended up committing suicide as a result.
This largely impacting moment in Kakashi's life took away the first person that was important to him. The next events of his life would take away the rest. Choosing to abide rigidly by the rules, he took a squad out when he was thirteen that eventually lost the medical ninja, Rin. Not wanting to save her—the completion of the mission was most important—Kakashi put his entire team's lives at risk until he turned around his thinking. He could have ended up saving the team if he acted sooner, but instead, only he and Rin—and not Obito, the third member of the team—made it out alive. Obito gave Kakashi his left eye (Kakashi had lost his amidst the fighting) just before he died.
That was the second time Kakashi lost someone very important to him. Since then, it can be assumed that Rin has passed away. His mentor, the Fourth Hokage, was among the people who passed away.
It is this that makes Kakashi an oddly genius, but also very weak ninja. He has no one to fight for and therefore can complete missions with ease, but without reason. Now older, he has trained Team 7—which holds Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura—but believes that he has likely met some failures with the team (especially since Sasuke remains only driven by revenge and doesn't understand what he actually has in the world). Kakashi comes off as rather aloof but goofy, strange, and unusual at times, lending him an eccentric disposition. He enjoys hentai literature—Icha Icha Paradise is his favorite from his world—and has friendly rivalries with several other ninjas in the Leaf Village.
For all this, he remains almost completely detached. But he's someone who seems to shoulder everything and then brush it off. At least on the surface.
In Purgatory
Since arriving in Purgatory, Kakashi has definitely served as the strongest genius ninja from the Leaf Village. Of course, he's also the only adult one from his world, and a lot of people have looked to him for that reason.
He's met up with Naruto and Sakura upon arriving, and for some time, he held Naruto captive to make him understand why he couldn't go and find Sasuke. He started training Naruto once more, but as per usual, he feels somewhat at a loss when it comes to training the teenage boy. He's also taken up Sakura and helped her learn her elemental.
Along with this, he's had several frustrating conversations with Sasuke that have led to unsurprising dead ends.
He's helped train (or is still training) Neji, Tenten, Sakura, Naruto, and anyone else who asks him for help and can put up with him seemingly not paying attention at all.
