The Old Days

Born and raised in a circus, at a young age he saw his parents murdered. Billionaire Bruce Wayne adopted Dick first as his ward, then as his son, training him as the first Robin to Bruce's Batman (Dick chose the name; his mother called him her little robin as he was born on the first day of spring). Eventually Dick's methods and views changed; Batman cared only about preserving Gotham City, but as the leader of the Teen Titans, Dick had other responsibilities. Batman fired him for having "less than total devotion to our cause." It didn't stop him; Dick took up the mantle of Nightwing and has never been able to stop fighting the fight.

The New Days

Since arriving on the island he's teased Robin, his younger self from the animated universe, tried (and failed) to keep the peace between his "brothers" Jason Todd and Tim Drake, and found a new crime-fighting partner and failed romance in a grown-up Buttercup.

After a series of failed jobs that led nowhere, he now works at the Welcome Center with Yuna. Here he can keep an eye out for Batman, Arsenal, or any of the other friends (and enemies) he's made in his lifetime.
