[18:50] >Ambiance<: You slip through a whirling gray cylinder and it spits you out to a large city. The sky here is odd and distincly artificial. A visible line divides day from night and hangs above the city
[18:51] * Ness looks around "Bizzare..."
[18:51] * Kazuma is joking, "Bizzard?
[18:51] Kazuma: "
[18:51] * Iago grins... "looks like we're not in China anymore"
[18:52] * Useless slides out into the city from the vortex of travel, noting the distinctly artifical aspects quite readily.
[18:52] * Lkeas scratches her head looking at the sky. "Why does this remind me of the Walrus and the Carpenter?"
[18:52] * Jeice looks up at the sky. "Hm."
[18:52] * Ness grins at Lkeas
[18:52] Matthew: "This is the Third City itself"
[18:52] * Kazuma walks into the new area draging Dale along.
[18:52] ZLOK: Walrus and carpenter?
[18:52] Matthew: "Come along"
[18:52] Dale: I'm still awake, you know.
[18:52] Kazuma: hello Dale
[18:52] * Lkeas shrugs at ZLOK. "A children's poem."
[18:53] * Lkeas follows after Matthew.
[18:53] ZLOK: Oh?
[18:53] * Useless glances towards Matthew. "Praytell how much of Third City has artificial aspects to it?"
[18:53] * Ness follows
[18:53] * ZLOK prowls after the group.
[18:53] * Dale shrugs, and gets to his feet. "I didn't think any would bother looking for me."
[18:53] * Jeice follows as well.
[18:53] * Dale follows, too.
[18:53] * LordBarrius follows, trying to keep pace.
[18:54] * Lkeas smiles. "Yes, the first stanza talks about the sun shining in the middle of the night."
[18:54] Matthew: Most of it....
[18:54] * Kazuma puts Dale down, "it'd be easier to keep on on your own terms and feet"
[18:54] * Ness chuckles "Cabbages and Kings"
[18:54] * Rhea appears
[18:55] * Useless wishes internally that he was a ferret once more and had the freedom to explore such a place, knowing that neither are probably in his grasp of obtaining. He stops short once Rhea appears, not knowing who she might be...
[18:55] * Dale sighs, "Is there any way for me to get a lift back to the Abode?"
[18:55] * Kazuma waves at this new person who just appeared.
[18:56] * Iago zig-zags along with the group looking around and stops abruptly and smiles at the newcomer
[18:56] Kazuma: oh pff, you wish Dale
[18:56] * Ness looks at Rhea and says politely "And you are?"
[18:56] * Lkeas blinks as she spots Rhea and nods in greeting. "You must be Reality... I don't believe we've met in person before, but I've recorded your presence before.."
[18:57] * Kazuma hears Lkeas "Reality?"
[18:57] * Useless accesses Memory at the mention of Reality.
[18:58] * Lkeas turns to Kazuma. "The Artificial Intelligence and main computer of Third City. She can manifest as a physical being though."
[18:59] Kazuma: I see
[18:59] * Iago makes a mental note to install something like that at his house
[19:00] Useless: "Yes...indeed, that is correct as usual, Archivist." Useless smiles over at Lkeas for a moment. "One of the few people I would not want Hadin to meet for fear of him trying something far beyond even his measure as an Artificer. It is good, then, that I have taken his place I suppose..."
[19:01] * Lkeas laughs heartily. "I suppose Hadin would be fascinated by her... I do hope he's enjoying his homecoming."
[19:01] Matthew: "Rhea allert Amelie that she has visitors"
[19:02] * Useless smiles more broadly. "You will be glad to know that he was elated at seeing the wolves again, much less Rikshi."
[19:02] Rhea: "As you wish"
[19:03] Lkeas: Ah, that's good to hear. I miss the old man but I'm happy he is home. He seemed a bit lethargic around the abode...
[19:04] * Rhea vanishes
[19:04] * Amelie appears from nowhere
[19:04] * Amelie What is it Matthew....
[19:04] * Useless shifts over to Lkeas' side. "You might be interested to know that he has begun a new project...but now is not the time."
[19:05] *** Brink|AFK has signed off IRC (Ping timeout).
[19:05] Matthew: It would appear Amelie that these gentlefolks have a message for you

[19:06] * ZLOK hides his yawn.
[19:06] Amelie: "How do I know you?"
[19:06] * Kazuma looks towards Lkeas, "she holds the messages usually"
[19:06] * Lkeas starts in surprise at Amelie's abrupt entrance, then holds out her hand tentatively. "You don't, actually, but we've been in contact with a friend of yours, Louis Zephyr.."
[19:07] * Useless smiles to himself. "Some of us a tad more than others..."
[19:07] Lkeas: At least... I presume he's a friend?
[19:10] *** TofuBot is now known as Legault.
[19:10] Amelie: You know Louis?
[19:10] *** maieo has signed off IRC (Drowned: curses - foiled again!).
[19:11] Lkeas: Yes, although he first came to us under a different name.
[19:12] Amelie: "Odd... Is he well then... Okay.... and what would make him think to use you to give me a message if you did not actually know me..."
[19:12] Lkeas: I suppose that's another story. He asked us to deliver a message for you, but I'm afraid I may have recorded it wrong, as it doesn't seem to make sense...
[19:13] Kazuma: perhaps this was so we COULD know you.
[19:13] Amelie: "What is it?"
[19:13] Lkeas: The message is "Loot to Orphic. The Oracle is there." Not sure if it was supposed to be Loot or Look, either way it's rather cryptic.
[19:14] Amelie: "Its not mysterious to me.. Though it cannot be intended for me..."
[19:14] Amelie: "I helped design the Delphi project"
[19:14] Amelie: "I am well aware of its nature"
[19:14] Jeice: Isn't Delphi the part that has been dragging us around?
[19:15] Ness: Perhaps there is a piece you're not aware of?
[19:15] Amelie: "You are being dragged arround by Delphi?"
[19:15] Amelie: "Thats disconcerting"
[19:15] * Iago thinks about Pythia
[19:15] Amelie: "Since we moved Delphi out of our reality to this one we had thought that stopped""
[19:15] ZLOK: It wuld make some sense, at least.
[19:15] * Lkeas shakes her head. "Wait, I forgot.. the message was supposed to be for the Amelie who DIDN'T know Zephyr..."
[19:16] * Ness looks at Lkeas "Weren't there two? One if she knew him and one if she didn't?"
[19:16] Amelie: "You were in contact with one of my Analogs?"
[19:17] * Useless raises an eyebrow in silence as he processes the varying conditions surrounding this.
[19:17] Lkeas: No, we never met any Amelies, Zephyr just gave us two messages to deliver to whoever we met.
[19:17] * Lkeas sighs. "Well, in this case, Louis sends his regards to you, Dr. Jardis..."
[19:18] Kazuma: interesting way to send a message...
[19:18] Amelie: "He would have had to have some reason to expect that you might meet me..."
[19:18] Amelie: "Louis is hardly erratic. He would not simply give a message to random individuals"
[19:18] Amelie: "And some reason to belive you had contact or would have contact with one of my Analog
[19:18] Useless: "Telepathy, particularly the variant that can cross boundaries of realms, is hardly more secure for reference Kazuma."
[19:19] Amelie: "As well"
[19:19] * Lkeas shrugs helplessly. "I'm afraid I don't know. The only reason we met him in the first place was because of his ties to The'Galin.."
[19:19] * Dale yawns.
[19:19] Dale: You guys sure do talk... And talk... and talk.
[19:19] Amelie: "The'galin? Who or what is that"
[19:20] Jeice: The Uncreator of Lore.
[19:20] Jeice: A deity.
[19:20] Dale: No, no, it's okay, really. Feel free to ignore me.
[19:20] ZLOK: He is a mortal man!
[19:20] * Ness ignores Dale
[19:20] ZLOK: Albeit a very powerful mortal.
[19:20] * Iago glances at Dale and chuckles but gets straightfaced with the discussion of The'Galin
[19:21] * Ness looks at Amelie "Out of curiousity, does Project Epsilon mean anything to you?"
[19:22] Kazuma: I was thinking about the two messages, one for if you know somebody, and one if you didn't.
[19:22] * Useless settles down on his haunches, paying moderate attention to the conversation while he attempts to telepathically scan for Dr. Zephyr.
[19:22] * Lkeas scratches her head and looks at Kazuma. "What about them?"
[19:23] Amelie: "Nothing"
[19:24] Amelie: "There is an anlog of the entire Orphic project on another reality. However that Orphic project does not involve Zephyr at all...."
[19:24] Kazuma: I just think it's intresting that he had no way of sending you with one message knowing it would get there in time. It's a first for me, I usualy give all messages I get.
[19:24] * Ness shrugs "Just checking"
[19:24] Amelie: "I am head of that project on that world. Went their directly after John Hopkins"
[19:24] Amelie: "Never met Louis"
[19:25] Jeice: That might be the analog we're looking for then.
[19:25] Amelie: "It is a higher magic world then my own. Considerably. Mine is near zero magic"
[19:25] Amelie: "I have touched on her through Delphi just once. But at the time her world had no Delphi project"
[19:26] Amelie: "Her world in general was very closed to interreality travel. It was the unique nature of Delphi transit that allowed me through and.... wait... you are being pulled arround by Delphi... but I did not detect delphi doing anything..."
[19:27] Amelie: "And one of you met Zephyr and he told you to tell another version of me to look toward orphic for the oracle"
[19:27] Lkeas: Is that a problem?
[19:27] Useless: "I think that was Matthew's conclusion on the nature of our recent travel..."
[19:27] ZLOK: Doesn't have to be Delphi.
[19:27] Amelie: "It may well be that Zephyr has set up another Delphi on another reality and designed it to link in:
[19:27] ZLOK: I don't think we're being pulled around by someone who doesn't know what he's doing.
[19:28] Amelie: "Since he vanished from Orphic we really have no Idea what he is up to"
[19:28] Ness: Hm...
[19:28] Ness: Being yanked around by an agent of The'Galin. Disturbing.
[19:28] Amelie: "If he set that project in place on the world of this other Amelie"
[19:28] Lkeas: He said he had been cast out of his world, and found himself in the service of The'Galin.
[19:28] * Useless sighs. "I am unable to pick up a signature via what telepathy I possess...alas..."
[19:28] Amelie: "Your involvement may in fact have been designed to make her aware of its presence"
[19:28] * Dale yawns, loudly.
[19:29] Lkeas: The presence of Delphi?

[19:29] * Amelie raises her eyes and her hair darkens

[19:29] * Useless glances with distaste at Dale. "Your conduct as of late has been particularly rude, Dale..."

[19:29] Dale: So, now just because I yawn, I get sent to the nine hells? That is interesting.
[19:30] * Useless blinks at the mention of La Fey. "That is...odd..."
[19:30] Amelie: "That particular analog is the one that is actually native to Third City"
[19:30] Amelie: "It is a constant battle to keep her absorbed since we merged"
[19:30] * ZLOK looks puzzled.

[19:31] * Lkeas looks at Amelie with some alarm as she transforms. "A merging manifestation?"
[19:31] Amelie: "Your actions did not show exhaustion:
[19:31] Amelie: "They clearly showed disinterest"
[19:32] Ness: Like I said, ignore Dale.
[19:32] Amelie: "Some people believe rudeness is a worse crime then murder"
[19:32] Amelie: "Morgan among them"\\
[19:32] * Iago smiles at the book... "Looks like a good read"
[19:32] * Useless nods. "I have...interestingly enough...picked up on several oddities as of late during my Downtime. Much knowledge can be gleaned through idle telepathy at times..."
[19:32] Amelie: "In fact Morgan would happily commit murder.... but rudeness she will nto abide"

[19:33] Falerin: I can warm things up for you too if you find this really dull

[19:34] * Dale turns to Ness. "Will you be quiet, for once?" he says calmly before turning to Amelie. "I am bored, yes. But overreacting by sending me to the nine hells seems a bit... harsh."
[19:34] * LordBarrius frowns slightly, though he continues to keep his silence, prefering to keep silent and not interrupt.
[19:34] Jeice: Falerin?!
[19:34] * Iago looks excited
[19:34] Falerin: "I disagree"
[19:34] Kazuma: or yoinked as I call it.
[19:34] Kazuma: why?
[19:34] ZLOK: The shepherd was missing, so the herd wandered.
[19:35] Falerin: "Though I think perhaps Baator is overrated. I myself would go with the Abyss"
[19:35] * Dale sighs. "Of course. I'll just stop talking, then."
[19:35] * Useless smiles over at Falerin, pleased to see his presence here.
[19:35] Jeice: Frankly I'm not sure how we ended up away from the abode.
[19:35] Falerin: "Since when have you gone back to being an insufferable git"
[19:35] Falerin: "I thought we had broken you of that habit permanently after the buisness with Cartwright"
[19:35] ZLOK: You have been missing, to much dismay and personal displeasure.
[19:35] Falerin: "Backsliders die in my presence"
[19:35] Jeice: Falerin, something has concerned me from the day you left.

[19:36] ZLOK: While I am perfectly aware you do not suffer my whims. We have been lost.

[19:37] ZLOK: And we are unable to do anything. All we are able to do is sit around and wait.

[19:37] Lkeas: Well, we asked Matthew to take us to Amelie Jardis to deliver a message from Zephyr... but how we ended up in Hong Kong is anybody's guest..

[19:38] ZLOK: But I would also wish for the seekers to unify. And without a shepherd, the flock is stampeding.

[19:40] ZLOK: I excuse my distraction of topic matter.

[19:40] ZLOK: And I must excuse once more for another interruption, but it appears I will need to find Johansen. Would you know where to start looking?

[19:41] ZLOK: Are you the Johansen in question?
[19:41] Jeice: Mariel said they had to speak to Falerin about something that he likely did not yet know, and it seemed very important.
[19:42] Matthew: "The only other Johansen is my brother Micah and he does not tend to have conversation with Falerin as he has not in my recollection lived on Caleestia"
[19:42] Matthew: "Whereas I have"
[19:42] ZLOK: I thought I remembered two.
[19:42] * ZLOK sighs.

[19:43] * Lkeas rubs her temples, slightly exhausted from the whole ordeal. "Falerin brings up a good point.. what ARE we doing away from the Abode? This Delphi or whatever is dragging us around had better have a good reason for targeting the seekers..."
[19:43] ZLOK: I am well aware.
[19:43] Matthew: I am quite sure he is aware of your situation.....
[19:44] ZLOK: We are in need of clarity about wether he is aware of his own.
[19:44] Matthew: Whatever else he is doing must simply be more important
[19:44] ZLOK: It is.
[19:44] ZLOK: His works are more important than inbred bickering.
[19:44] Matthew: As to where he is gone thats clear enough
[19:44] Matthew: LORE
[19:44] ZLOK: Yes.
[19:44] Matthew: He just said as much
[19:44] * Lkeas looks at ZLOK. "I already told you he is aware of the situation involving the Man in Black.."
[19:45] Matthew: He also said that you had better find someone else to Rally behind
[19:45] * ZLOK growls and turns to leave, before stopping in his tracks, realizing he is unable to leave this reality on his own.
[19:45] Matthew: I somehow doubt he would take kindly to being persued
[19:45] Jeice: There is a situation he might not know about though.
[19:45] ZLOK: Yes, that would be her.
[19:45] * Kazuma looks at Lkeasa.
[19:45] * ZLOK points to Lkeas.
[19:45] Jeice: Mariel isn't one to lie.
[19:45] ZLOK: But if she refuses her mandate there is nothing more I can do.
[19:46] Useless: "IF she refuses, then we must find another whom the others might pay heed to."
[19:46] * DrLouisZephyr appears
[19:46] * Lkeas throws her hands in the air in exasperation. "I never said I wouldn't try to keep the peace!"
[19:46] DrLouisZephyr: Hello Amelie darling.
[19:46] * Ness looks at Zephyr and bows
[19:47] * Useless glances at Zephyr. "You are a hard one to contact at times, Doctor Zephyr."
[19:47] * ZLOK pulls up his hood and draws himself into his robe, either hiding himself or wishing to be alone.
[19:47] * LordBarrius turns to observe Zephyr and nods a greeting to him. "Greetings doctor."
[19:47] * Lkeas looks at Zephyr, utterly dumfounded. "You mean you could have visited her yourself this whole time? Why did you tell us to deliver a message then?"
[19:47] Jeice: Zephyr? Long time no see...
[19:47] * Iago bows slightly, "hello doctor Zephyr"
[19:48] DrLouisZephyr: "It is often hard to speak to the morning star&;quot;
[19:48] Dale: Because he has other things to do, Lkeas. Duh.
[19:48] DrLouisZephyr: "And no... I was only able to renter this ambit because somehow the two Delphi streams crossed"
[19:48] Kazuma: Dr. Zephr eh? good to meet you.
[19:49] DrLouisZephyr: "You see when you mentioned Dr. Jardis helping you with Diviara and David, I knew that that Dr. Jardis could not be this one... I had hoped actually you would see her first"
[19:50] DrLouisZephyr: "Unforutunately you never returned to David's world... Of course its probably good that you did not"

[19:50] * Lkeas shrugs. "It's not as if we have much control over where we're sent.."
[19:50] Lkeas: Dr. Jardis mentioned her suspicions that you might have something to do with setting up a Delphi in your current realm?
[19:51] DrLouisZephyr: "That version of Orphic was set up by Dr. Jardis but it was never accidental that it followed such a pattern. I mean since I was the origin of the Orphic academy in the base reality, isn't it strange that one of my coworkers still started it in David's earth
[19:51] DrLouisZephyr: "I had some influence on her taking that path"
[19:51] DrLouisZephyr: "
[19:51] DrLouisZephyr: Unfortuantely she does not know about delphi still
[19:51] DrLouisZephyr: And I am in no position to tell her....
[19:52] DrLouisZephyr: So it is running without any maintaiance or guidance at all
[19:52] * Dale looks over at Useless. "Apparently being bored is now taboo. I'm sorry, I'll try not to break any more rules I'm unaware of. Yes, I realize that this response is late."
[19:52] DrLouisZephyr: Which is causing me to be yanked all over....
[19:52] DrLouisZephyr: and now you as well.... it appears and...

[19:52] * Ness drops to one knee in preparation

[19:52] >Ambiance<: Reality folds inward again. That same gutwrenchign sickening sensation

[19:53] Matthew: I might be able to influence that actually
[19:53] * Ness closes his eyes
[19:53] * Kazuma falls over, ready to be knocked out
[19:53] * Iago sits dows and closes his eyes
[19:53] * Dale gets on his knees.
[19:53] * Lkeas drops to her knees in advance this time.
[19:53] * Matthew gestures and an odd blue haze surrounds you even as the feeling persists
[19:53] * LordBarrius frowns and shakes his head, getting down to his knees.
[19:53] * Jeice does as Lkeas did.
[19:53] * Useless remains crouched on his haunches.
[19:53] * ZLOK stands straight, keeping his balance.
[19:54] >Ambiance<: Reality bends and fluctuates and all goes black. When it comes back you find yourself falling... into the east river
[19:54] Ness: GAH!
[19:54] Iago: whoa!
[19:54] >Ambiance<: Neither Zephyr or Matthew made the transistion
[19:54] * Lkeas lands with a splash and surfaces, sputtering with a strange sense of deja vu.
[19:54] Kazuma: meep!
[19:54] >Ambiance<: Nor did Amelie or Rhea for that matter
[19:54] * Jeice is swimming to the surface, and attempts to say "Not again!"
[19:54] Lkeas: By the gods are we really back here?!
[19:54] * Kazuma swims to the side.
[19:55] * ZLOK is standing on the bottom, trying to get his bearings.
[19:55] * Iago floats on his back
[19:55] * LordBarrius hits the water and sighs. "Not again...."
[19:55] * Ness treads water
[19:55] * Lkeas begins swimming towards the same bank where they found David before.
[19:55] * Iago follows Lkeas
[19:55] * Ness follows Lkeas
