[17:21] * Damsel pauses and blinks at Lkeas in surprise. "That's it! Didn't some who went to assist David come and go with a small popping?"

[17:23] * Damsel frowns deeply. "Could he be at risk of the same phenomena that Lkeas is? Of becoming one with his analog?"

[17:24] * Damsel nods at David. "But he's right. What would cause that to occur. Prior they were very different individuals."

[17:24] * Hadin pulls out his pipe again and eyes it. "Well, he did apparently go and help my son out...I for one wonder if that might have done more than weaken him. Since he did used to threaten quite a few, after all."

[17:25] * Damsel shakes her head. "I don't know if that would be sufficient or not."

[17:27] * Damsel blinks in surprise, watching the man carefully, but not suspiciously.

[17:28] * Hadin blinks, then begins to load his pipe. "I do believe Gilphon is right."

[17:29] * Damsel approaches the man, biting at her lower lip, hands shaking. She reaches out to touch him but stops herself just short.

[17:32] * Damsel nods and swallows with some difficulty before meeting Hadin's eyes. "It's very similar to how he chose to look in our dreams."

[17:34] * Hadin nods to Damsel slowly. "Meanwhile, I just seem to be able to recognize my son no matter the form."

[17:34] * Damsel bites her lower lip and reaches forth a hand towards the windowpane. "Do you think... Maybe we can reach the source?"

[17:35] * Hadin shrugs. "Ye can try lass, if that is your wish."

[17:36] * Damsel hesitates once again right before making contact, then with a look of determination attempts to touch it.

[17:38] * Hadin takes a toke of his pipe, breathing the smoke off to one side idly, and places his hand on Damsel's shoulder again. "If'n ye go, lass, I'll be going with ya. At least until we find my son, at least. He'd not forgive me if'n anything happened to ye in the meantime."

[17:38] The: Man stares directly at Damsel and then Lkeas and Donto blinking

[17:38] * Lkeas looks curiously back at the man in the window

[17:38] The: Man rubs the window the steam clearing but the sigil glowing constantly

[17:38] Gilphon: he can see us...

[17:39] Man: "Who in the hells are you"

[17:41] * Damsel balls her hands into fists. "I won't hesitate if another chance arises."

[17:43] >Ambiance<: A portal pops opens, from which falls both Nicholas and Dale. The portal then promptly seals shut.

[17:44] * Lkeas backs up a few paces reflexively, then lets her breath out when she recognizes who came through the portal

[17:45] * Damsel doesn't even blink in surprise at this point, having expected further oddities.

[17:54] * Daniel avoids the door *

[17:55] * Hadin places himself between Lkeas and the portal. "Stay."

[17:55] Hadin: "Unlike myself and Talo, whose substitution was more assured, I do not think the same claim can be made with you."

[17:55] * Lkeas pouts. "Avarie and Damsel switched places. If I go, at least my analog will come here, right?"

[17:56] Daniel: You have much work to do here however.

[17:56] Hadin: "You do not *think* you are analogs."

[17:56] * Avarie just appears more confused, watching the others talk witha look of bafflement.

[17:57] * Hadin glances back at Lkeas. "Ye said it yerself, lass. Coherence is possible...and I think more probable than Substitution if I even understand a mote of this shite."

[18:00] * Daniel smiles and shows Avarie a picture of him and Elaith sipping hot chocolate at a bookstore down the street from Central Park * "He loves that place."

[18:00] * Avarie appears to be struck speechless for a moment before simply nodding. Then with a small breath adds, "I doubt it would have helped."

[18:01] Daniel: Perhaps not. There is no way for us to know.

[18:02] Avarie: Well I've popped through who knows how many portals, some voluntarily but quite often not.

[18:03] Daniel: Understandable. Portals aren't always the most pleasant experience, useful though they are.

[18:03] * Lkeas scribbles in some logs to try to pass the time but keeps glancing up at the black door

[18:04] * LordBarrius stumbles out of a portal of his own and glances around wearily, his eyes eventually settling on the black door still in the room.

[18:04] Lkeas: Brother! where have you been?

[18:05] Lkeas: except when Damsel touched it, Avarie and she swapped places..

[18:06] * LordBarrius takes a few steps towards the black door, eyeing it with curiousity.

[18:06] Daniel: Yes. You will probably switch back if you touch it Avarie.

[18:06] Lkeas: and well, the fear is since my analogs are too similar, my touching it would cause a recoherence

[18:09] * Avarie looks between Dale and Daniel with surprise and confusion.

[18:16] * Daniel does what he can to comfort Avarie * "Don't worry, he hesitated, and you're still alive. Have hope for Damsel."

[18:16] * Avarie backs away from Dale a few steps further, Daniel's words hardly registering in her mind.

[18:17] Daniel: Avarie, please, don't worry. Remember the fiery spirit you had when you yelled at Reven to get out of the storm.

[18:17] LordBarrius: "Keep your distance, Dale."

[18:17] Daniel: You have the courage and the spirit. Just keep it close.

[18:17] Dale: You.. You all scorn me for making MY decision, MY FREE WILL. Even if I was ordered, I chose to do what I did. And you know what? I have NO regrets. I would've gladly done the same thing were I given another chance, but now, that's nigh impossible.

[18:18] * Lkeas faces Dale directly, her eyes flashing.

[18:18] Dale: And another thing. You ALL reject, ignore, shun; Call it what you will, and you expect ME to take YOUR side?!

[18:19] LordBarrius: "Amuse you, do I? Let it be known that you do *not* amuse me in the slightest, and if not for my utmost respect for the rules I would mash you myself."

[18:19] Lkeas: And you who would portend to show affections for ME, have the nerve to say such a thing? Do you not even know what I am fighting for? How could I possibly feel for you when you CHOOSE to kill my friends?"

[18:22] * LordBarrius frowns. ""At any rate, consider the return of this one to be my second unacknowledged favor....and I suspect you will continue to hate me as usual.""

[18:22] >Ambiance<: The slight snow of down made of light so consistent till now lessens even further to a bare flurry. Nay just a few flakes

[18:22] * Lkeas glances at the ceiling with worry creasing her brow. "Oh no... Diviara..."

[18:22] Dale: HA! Pretend!? You would put it past me to FAKE those kind of feelings!? No Lkeas, those feelings were quite real. But now, it matters not. I realize what you fight for, and every attempt I make is useless. I'm not good with decoding the runes, whenever I try to interact during an event, I am brushed to the side. And on that note, YOU NEVER FELT FOR ME, AT ALL. You made that QUITE clear, dear Prophet.

[18:39] * Dale pulls out the blade that LordBarrius gave him for Frostval, and quickly charges Barrius, saying "If even you would abandon me, then you will die"

[18:39] * Durroth casually clotheslines Dale

[18:39] * Avarie gasps at the sudden movement, backing away once again.

[18:39] * Lkeas starts in alarm. "Dale! Don't you dare!"

[18:40] Durroth: nows not the time for violence

[18:40] * Lkeas 's shoulders slump

[18:40] * LordBarrius turns to Dale and sidesteps the charge, then grabs hold of the blade with one free hand. His hand runs with blood as he grips the blade.

[18:40] LordBarrius: I told you this item had a safety feature attached. I had hoped you wouldn't force me to use it.

[18:40] * Elaith moves in front of Avarie in case *

[18:40] * Dale struggling with Barrius for control of the sword, screams in loathing "DIE"

[18:41] * Lkeas tries to grab at Dale's arm

[18:41] Lkeas: Dale, what are you doing?!

[18:41] >Ambiance<: The blade glows for a moment, then shatters into tiny fragments. A few of them remain stuck in LordBarrius's palm, causing more blood to flow.

[18:42] * Lkeas turns to Avarie. "Do you have any of the healing capabilities of your analog?"

[18:42] * LordBarrius frowns. "Never attack me with a weapon I gave you."

[18:42] * Dale , shocked at the breaking backs away, taking a moment to regain himself. He then proceeds to pound Barrius' on the chest, screaming "It's not fair!!" the whole time.

[18:43] * LordBarrius quickly brings his knee up, aiming for Dale's chin.

[18:44] * Lkeas looks at Avarie curiously, then understanding dawns on her face. "Oh! You are from Terra."

[18:44] Lkeas: Well, I'm not sure if LordBarrius's wounds are of the magical kind, but perhaps standard bandaging would help staunch that blood flow..

[18:49] * Lkeas looks up at the ceiling

[18:50] Daniel: I learned that in order to save Diviara, David and Diviara have to merge, or a blood relative.

[18:51] Daniel: Also, I fear if you use that portal, a merging may occur.

[18:53] Falerin: That is hardly likely I owe him nothing

[18:53] Falerin: I fear you have a case of mixed pronounitis

[19:09] Hadin: "I would think that answer would be clear as day, Dale."

[19:09] * Nicholas scratches his head. "That's it?"

[19:09] Dale: I'm sorry.. I'm a little slow, would you care to explain to me, Hadin?

[19:10] LordBarrius: You want a more clear or blunt answer, perhaps? It's only worth it on occasion, such as right now.
