Not a Casualty of War
From Caelwiki
[11:14] * Falerin appears in a flash his face drained of color and his apperance exceedingly exhausted
[11:22] * Oceshay pads down the stairs looking a bit tired and slightly rumpled, but a sense of disquiet had roused her and so she had decided to investigate. Upon spying Falerin, she hurries towards him though gives the god his space if he such desires it. "Falerin! What has happened? You look... Well like you could use a good cup of tea."
[11:55] * Falerin blinks and rises for a second before sinking back to the couch again,
[11:56] Falerin: I could use a cup of tea yes. It wil however not fix what ails me.
[11:58] * Falerin stares at the Wall where the elevator is hidden and frowns
[11:58] Falerin: "This has been accessed"
[11:59] * Cerbero appears in the main room, his cloak's hood covering his head, just in time to hear this. He bows at Falerin and says "I will prepare you a cup, Loremaster". He walks towards the kitchen, his pace and expression denoting sadness
[11:59] * Falerin puts his hand on the wall and closes his eyes
[12:00] Falerin: "I recall to Caelestia all who have passed hence"
[12:00] * Iago pops into the Abode, wearing a polo and khaki shorts, drinking an iced green tea. He surveys what's going on.
[12:01] * Lkeas appears in the Abode, appearing to be in mid-conversation with someone who is no longer present. "And we're trying... huh..?"
[12:01] Falerin: "Any who have left via the Elevator will be returned shortly. Though my command of the device is not accurate. So they may appear sporadically rather then .... together.
[12:02] * Cerbero returns with a cup of tea, the speed of its ellaboration being due to the fact that he heated the water with fire from his hand. He walks towards Falerin and offers the cup to him"
[12:02] * Lkeas looks around in some confusion. "The Abode.. we're back, oh thank Aloria. Didn't know how we were going to find Gaiden and Ryuusei over there.."
[12:03] Falerin: I am sure your mission on some alternate phase of reality was important prophetess. However I have not the energy to make my proclamation more then once.
[12:03] * Falerin accepts the tea with a nod of thanks.
[12:03] Lkeas: Falerin? What are you doing here? You should be on Lore... the war...
[12:04] Cerbero: Ah, Lkeas, hello. I have a rather interesting, surely important, scroll for you.
[12:04] Falerin: Yes the war...The war is ongoing and the W..ar (this sounds decidedly like a choked sob) is indeed why I am here.
[12:05] * Romulus appears in a corner, "okay, what just happened?"
[12:05] * Kazuma appears on a sofa, "whee! yoink again!"
[12:05] Cerbero: Although I'd prefer to wait until Falerin- Falerin, are you alright?
[12:05] * Lkeas 's face pales. "What... what's happened, Loremaster..."
[12:05] * Lkeas sinks onto a couch. "The nightmare..."
[12:05] Kazuma: ...something's wrong. Shut up time now.
[12:05] * Cerbero 's eyes widen slightly. He pales a bit as he remembers the words he heard...
[12:05] Falerin: Galrick has been murdered
[12:05] Cerbero: "He who is the saved will now be taken"
[12:05] Falerin: Cartwright has killed him
[12:06] * Cerbero closes his fists with all his strenght as he looks down, a tear streaming down his face
[12:06] * Kazuma has a few tears go down his cheek after hearing this news, "oh, why him?"
[12:06] Cerbero: Cart....wright...
[12:07] * Lkeas is struck speechless, her mouth slightly agape as she finds herself unable to look away from Falerin.
[12:08] * Cerbero finds himself unable to utter any words, as several tears run down his cheek. He looks at the floow beneath him as his eyes show sadness, concern and anger, among other emotions
[12:09] Falerin: It was a murder have no doubt
[12:10] Falerin: This was no casulty of war
[12:10] * Kazuma attempts speech, but gets choked up
[12:10] Cerbero: d..damn it, why.... I could have sought for him, I knew it referred to him...
[12:10] * Lkeas finally pulls her gaze away and covers her eyes with her hands, her shoulders trembling as the weight of his words begin to take their toll.
[12:11] Cerbero: I could have at least delayed...
[12:11] Falerin: You could do what I could not
[12:12] Falerin: I do not think so
[12:12] Falerin: Galrick's death was not unexpected. He long predicted it.
[12:12] Cerbero: I... I apologise.
[12:12] Falerin: Yet it was sudden
[12:12] * Kazuma nods
[12:13] Cerbero: Too...
[12:13] * Lkeas 's voice comes out weakly in shuddering sobs. "Why.. did it h-have to happen..."
[12:13] Falerin: I had developed a contigency that should he die he would be teleported awy
[12:14] Falerin: he begged me for it
[12:14] Falerin: He did not want Cartwright or his goons to raise him as undead
[12:14] Falerin: I fully expected that the spell would fail
[12:15] * Romulus speaks as if the sudden news of Galrick's death means nothing to him, "Galrick was murdered eh? let's not get all teary eyed. He needs to be avenged. He lent us his name to the group, so let's not let his death be worthless."
[12:15] Falerin: Because lorian magic is different from caelestian magic and because Galrick's soul was owned by another
[12:16] Falerin: Help came from an unexpected quarter, however.
[12:16] Falerin: The only quarter that possibly could have mattered.
[12:17] * Lkeas looks up at this. "The'Galin..?"
[12:17] * Falerin does not answer he just stands and with curt wave vanishes
[12:18] Lkeas: Wait, Loremaster... where did you teleport him...
[12:18] * Lkeas stands, moving a step towards where Falerin was previously standing.
[12:19] * Iago is clearly moved and takes a seat
[12:19] Uriel: I have detected a change in one of the sites I have been asked to monitor on Terra
[12:21] * Cerbero removes a scroll from his cloak, his hand shaking as a few tears fall from his face to the back of his hand. He offers it to Lkeas, once more sobbing
[12:21] Uriel: There appears to be a new entry in the Truth Seeker's blog
[12:21] * Lkeas stares at the scroll in a daze, her breath coming in ragged gulps.
[12:22] Uriel: It does not contain text only a video
[12:22] Uriel: assuming laptop configuration for viewing
[12:22] Lkeas: His... blog..?
[12:22] >Ambiance<: The laptop appears and opens to an entry on Myspace
[12:23] * Stromy walks down the stairs, pausing briefly as he takes note of what is occuring
[12:23] * Cerbero glances at the laptop sadly, his hood falling from his head as he turns towards the laptop
[12:24] * Lkeas watches the video with some amazement. "How..."
[12:29] * Lkeas wipes at some of the streaks of tears and manages a small smile. "Maybe... he has finally found his redemption..."
[12:30] * Stromy nods, his eyes filled with respect, "I think you have it right, Lkeas."
[12:31] Uriel: The last entry in the Uncreator's journal has bearing on this I think. I was asked to warn you to not speculate further on it at the time but I think you may do so now.
[12:32] * Lkeas moves to pick up her copy of the journal, flipping through the pages.
[12:32] Stromy: "Asked by whom? Falerin?"
[12:32] Uriel: opens to http://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=11829146
[12:33] Uriel: Negative this entry was sent directly by its author
[12:33] Lkeas: "I will release my communicant's obligation...."
[12:35] * Lkeas nods slowly. "I hope... he has found peace at last..."
[12:35] Lkeas: He can be with his family now...
[12:36] Stromy: "I'm happy for him... He's done far more for us than he should have had to."
[12:36] Abode: that is unlikely.
[12:36] * Stromy tilts his head quizically
[12:36] * Lkeas looks up towards the ceiling as she has grown used to doing whenever the Abode speaks. "Why is that?"
[12:37] Abode: I know of only one way Falerin could accomplish what he set out to do in this situation. Especially as it required securing Galrick's release from The`Galin
[12:38] Stromy: "How is that, Abode?"
[12:38] Abode: "Claiming Galrick...."
[12:39] Stromy: "Claiming...?"
[12:39] Lkeas: You mean...
[12:39] Stromy: "Taking possession of him?"
[12:41] Abode: In a matter of speaking but no it would be more accurate to say Taking ownership of him.
[12:41] * Lkeas rubs the back of her neck with some confusion. "So then, he will not go to Aloria like Giliara did..?"
[12:42] * Lucas_Michaels comes through the terrace gate and surveys his surroundings
[12:42] * Marrin frowns fading in "So it is true?"
[12:42] Rimblade: "Too bad. Aloria's very nice."
[12:42] * Stromy lowers his brows in confusion, "Abode... Did Falerin accomplish what he set out to do?"
[12:42] Abode: Falerin generally does not have access to Aloria
[12:42] Stromy: "You never said either way..."
[12:42] * Lucas_Michaels thinks to himself. Wonder how everyone is
[12:43] * Lkeas turns to Marrin, nodding grimly.
[12:43] Abode: My understanding however of the Lorian spirit world is that is divided in to Spheres. Aloria is specific to certain deities.
[12:43] * Lucas_Michaels enters the main room where everyone is
[12:44] Rimblade: "Ooooh. Maybe there's a catchall!"
[12:44] * Cerbero remains silent, still crushed under the weight of Falerin's word
[12:45] * Marrin nods at Lkeas "It was as he wished... or as he knew.... a casualty of war, though a man of honor... i'll miss him."
[12:45] * Lkeas shakes her head. "Not a casualty of war..."
[12:46] * Lucas_Michaels stands and just listens to the conversation, This doesnt sound like a happy time...
[12:46] Cerbero: Murdered...
[12:46] Abode: Falerin was quite specific in that
[12:47] * Cerbero 's voice sounds more firm, not as broken as before, as he says "Cart... Twain murdered him"
[12:48] * Lkeas grits her teeth together. "Ryuusei... the horrors he has committed..."
[12:48] Rimblade: "An altogether unpleasant individual."
[12:48] Marrin: Lkeas, anger will not solve anything. It is true Ryuusei is an ass. And a vile being. yet, we knew this would come."
[12:48] Marrin: The only thing we can be grateful for, is that galrick, in the end, seemed to be happier.
[12:48] * Lucas_Michaels gets a concerned look on his face, What in the world did Cartwright do this time?
[12:49] Lkeas: I know... Gods.. I know...
[12:49] * Cerbero removes his cloak and tosses it a side, growling
[12:49] Durroth: ryuusei will recieve his comeuppance oneday Lkeas... for all his deeds.
[12:54] Rimblade: "I hope not."
[13:18] * Eitak_Razal sits there silently fumeing, haveing heard the whole thing. Anyone with the ability to sense magical auras would realize that Eitak is ready to blow something up at the slightist provocation.
[13:20] * Lucas_Michaels decides to steer clear of Eitak, not wanting to end up in yet another battle at this point in time
[13:21] * Cerbero sheds one last tear and vanishes
[13:21] * Brink gestures, his pipe appearing in his hand. With a quick snap of his fingers it ignites, he continues on to smoke, though tabacco smoke does not waft from it, more-so a mix of basil and sage does.
[13:22] * Eitak_Razal stands up. "Should anyone need me, I'll be magicly shapeing sand at the beach into Ryuusei and then blasting it to bits
[13:23] * Cerbero reappeas, holding Travis by the right shoulder. He clearly has no strenght to repeat the news.
[13:23] * Cerbero , not paying attention to his surroundings, teleports to the beach
[13:23] * Travis yawns and stretches "So this is the abode?"
[13:23] * Brink looks at Travis "I'm afraid you've caught is somewhat grim times..."
[13:24] Travis: "Hmm? What's happened?"
[13:24] * Lucas_Michaels walks back and forth across the room stopping briefly to run his hand through his long black hair
[13:25] * Brink shifts uncomfortably...
[13:26] * Travis glances around at the people in the abode.
[13:28] * Eitak_Razal starts to make her way to the door. "If anyone wants to join me in blowing up up Ryuusei shape sand sucptures be my guest...
[13:28] * Travis looks to Eitak, then back to Brink "What happened?"
[13:29] Eitak_Razal: ....
[13:29] * Lucas_Michaels is wearing a black trenchcoat with a solid black t-shirt underneath along with black pants and some black shoes and carries a type of travel bag along with a dai-katana held at his side
[13:29] * Brink turns "My method requires less force... Lady Razal." in a brief shimmer of light he vanishes, leaving a liqour bottle with the note 'Drinking away some sorrows, see you soon' it's signed with a an elegant flourish 'Sincerely, Brink'.
