And it actually has to do with decieving the one who was recording the Tale as much as it does those within. Though it is safe to say it was a common dodge and misdirection. Pseudie: I know it has been pointed out that the map of Lore that is floating around is inaccurate about battleon.

However it also seems that Falerin has indicated that the map is accurate about Deren, more or less.

Even if we allow however that there some things like very small islands (The Temple) are smaller than the map's scale will show, I believe I still have encountered a problem. That is if Falerin did say that the map was accurate about Deren and was made by someone in the south like I seem to remember reading he said.

So did Falerin actually say that?
