Daughter of Twain

- <Korban> Question, I never understood, do the Cor-dem, Vor-dem, etc., resemble those from the terran universe, being that they are located in Lore's?
- <Korban> I mean, we judge them by Terran standards.
- <Maxwell> They are located in Lore's universe?
- * Korban shrugs.
- <Korban> I mean originally, before the Outlands.
- <Maxwell> I can not say, but they are not native to our universe.
- <Maxwell> So they do not really count as a terran race.
- <Korban> Hm.
- <Korban> But yet we hold the same constellation.
- <Korban> Is that to say that the race doesn't exist at all in the Terran universe?

- <Jeice> Maxwell, I've just looked through the demons in AQ, and I'm rather stumped as to why there are so few. What causes one category of them to form is obvious, but I would think they would be growing in number rather than being uncommon.
- <Maxwell> Perhaps that is the reason.
- <Zeltan> That depends on how they form
- <Jeice> They seem to form from being corrupted by evil spirits feeding on negative emotion.
- <Zeltan> Well, why should they be growing in numbers? It's not like they breed
- <Jeice> Negative emotions should be more and more common as the fighting grows more intense though, right?
- <Maxwell> But are the evil spirits?
- <Maxwell> Are they common?
- <Jeice> Well, what happened to the evil spirits? I don't know.
- <Zeltan> :)
- <Maxwell> That is right, you do not know.
- <Maxwell> And it will stay that way.
- <Kaz> heh
- <Jeice> :<.:<
- <Jeice> Why will it stay that way?
- <Maxwell> Why would it not stay that way?
- <Jeice> Because you could tell me?
- <Maxwell> Could I?
- <LordBarrius> Some things are better left quiet for the moment, I presume.
- <Jeice> I suppose you could.
- <Maxwell> I suppose I could too.
- <Maxwell> I suppose I could also not, tell you.
- <Jeice> Would you please tell me?
- <Maxwell> Let me think it over.
- <Maxwell> No
- <Jeice> >.<
- <Kaz> bribe him with the lost episodes of Lost
- <Maxwell> Perhaps what you want to know is nothing.
- <Maxwell> Or perhaps it is something.
- <Maxwell> Do you really want to know something if it is nothing?
- <Kaz> yes
- <Maxwell> And how do I tell you something if it is nothing?
- <Kaz> so then we know it's nothing
- <Kaz> just tell us flat-out
- <Maxwell> Perhaps by me telling you nothing I am telling you something, perhaps it is me telling you everything you want to know.
- <Kaz> you dont know, huh?
- <Maxwell> Does anyone ever really know?
- <Kaz> God does
- <Jeice> Yes, sometimes.
- <Maxwell> God knows nothing?
- <Zeltan> XD
- <Kaz> God knows everything
- <Maxwell> If it is nothing why would he know it?
- <Maxwell> He knows everything yes, but does he know nothing also?
- <Kaz> You confuzzle me
- <Kaz> perhaps I should get Ovid to translate
- <Maxwell> You can not know everything and then nothing, nothing is not a part of anything.
- <Zeltan> @_@
- <Maxwell> So if you want me to tell you something that is in fact nothing.
- <Maxwell> I just told you everything.
- <Maxwell> By not telling you anything.
- <Kaz> oh! I get it
- <Kaz> You don't know it
- <Kaz> :P

- <Maxwell> You are right, I do not know nothing.
- <Maxwell> I know something.
- * Kaz prods Ovid to translate
- <Maxwell> It is not simple, for there is nothing to tell you.
- <Maxwell> You ask for something when there is nothing.
- <Maxwell> So all I can tell you is nothing, that gives you something.
- <Kaz> paradox
- <LordBarrius> Not really.
- <Jeice> Having fun, Maxwell?
- <LordBarrius> Saying nothing still *does* say something, technically.
- <Maxwell> The something is the nothing, and that is your answer.
- <Maxwell> Your right, it is something.
- <Kaz> he must write good essays when he doesn't understand the topic
- <Maxwell> I understand the topic Kaz.
- <Kaz> no no no I'm being offf topic again
- <Kaz> Why do I ask questions when I know the answer will confuse me??
- <Maxwell> Because like most humans you are looking for something, even when there is nothing to find.
- <Kaz> true
- <Kaz> it is human nature to explore

- [14:57] Maxwell: Naaa
- [14:58] Maxwell: Nothing seems to help actually.
- [14:58] Lkeas: hmm. migraines?
- [14:58] Maxwell: Yep
- [14:58] Maxwell: every day..
- [14:59] Lkeas: :(
- [14:59] Kaz: :(
- [15:04] Lkeas: so has anybody asked you for more help with the map yet?
- [15:04] Lkeas: we were trying to figure out what P and B could stand for.
- [15:04] Maxwell: I know what they mean.
- [15:05] Maxwell: And the O does not go Ou
- [15:05] Maxwell: It goes Op
- [15:05] Lkeas: Pleiades, Ptaah, Pink Hippo.. i dunno.
- [15:05] Lkeas: oh? how come station 5 was listed as Ou then?
- [15:05] Maxwell: Ou is for the meaning, which was named for Outland Station
- [15:05] LordBarrius: Well, that changes things....
- [15:05] Zeltan: Ahaha!
- [15:05] Zeltan: I knew it
- [15:05] LordBarrius: So the u was a lie.
- [15:05] * Zeltan does a vistory dance
- [15:05] Zeltan: Not its' not
- [15:05] Maxwell: But the name of the station is a part of the name of that station
- [15:05] Zeltan: If you recall
- [15:05] Maxwell: Op - Ou -
- [15:05] Lkeas: so when you say Op, does that mean O.P. something? Or a word that begins Op?
- [15:05] Zeltan: S<no.>: Title: Name
- [15:06] LordBarrius: Hm.
- [15:06] Maxwell: It is a word that begins with Op
- [15:06] Kaz: OPerator?
- [15:06] Maxwell: Named after Twain.
- [15:06] Zeltan: Oprah?
- [15:06] Zeltan: >.>
- [15:06] Kaz: Op my got!
- [15:06] Kaz: Hehe
- [15:06] Lkeas: Optical, Operative...
- [15:06] Lkeas: which twain, matthew or robert?
- [15:06] Zeltan: Named after Twain...
- [15:06] * Kaz picks up a nearby hardwire and disappears
- [15:06] Maxwell: They were all named by one man.
- [15:06] Zeltan: Took the words out of my mouth Lkeas
- [15:06] Maxwell: One man who was very sick when he named them.
- [15:07] Lkeas: someone before matthew, even?
- [15:07] Maxwell: They all have their meaning, but very little kno what they really stand for other than what they do.
- [15:07] Zeltan: His father?
- [15:07] Lkeas: wait wait, not Optico? from the isle d'oriens?
- [15:07] Maxwell: know*
- [15:07] Zeltan: Has the name appeared before?
- [15:07] Maxwell: Twain was not in his right mind.
- [15:07] Kaz: doesn't Twain mean twenty? he had 20 kids
- [15:08] Kaz: >.> <.<
- [15:08] Maxwell: But the stations are suppose to tell a twisted story of the life and death of his daughter.
- [15:08] Kaz: are they?
- [15:08] Lkeas: That's... disturbing.
- [15:08] Maxwell: Well, no they are not a very clear story.
- [15:08] Maxwell: He was not in his right mind like I said.
- [15:08] Kaz: no, that's...twisted
- [15:08] Lkeas: what does NOVA have to do with his daughter?
- [15:08] Maxwell: What do you think her name was?
- [15:09] Damsel: Lisa?
- [15:09] Zeltan: Lisa? >.:<
- [15:09] Lkeas: er... Nova?
- [15:09] Zeltan: Jinx
- [15:09] Maxwell: Her name was Nova.
- [15:09] *** Ras has joined #755.
- [15:09] Zeltan: Wow
- [15:09] Lkeas: So it's not Matthew Twain then.
- [15:09] Kaz: Wait...Nova?
- [15:09] Lkeas: Unless Nova is Lisa's real name
- [15:09] Jeice: I doubt that.
- [15:09] Maxwell: Born on Earth, in the month of October.
- [15:10] Lkeas: is Nova Lisa's real name?
- [15:10] Jeice: I think he said Nova died.
- [15:10] Kaz: that's the 8th month...there goes my idea
- [15:10] Maxwell: I can not say.
- [15:10] Lkeas: maybe Twain thought she died, but she didn't
- [15:10] Zeltan: She works for NOVA, how can he not know?
- [15:11] Zeltan: Unless
- [15:11] Lkeas: or maybe Lisa is a clone, or something.
- [15:11] Jeice: Crud, dinner.
- [15:11] Kaz: if dinner's that bad >.> <.< Make Ramen!
- [15:11] Lkeas: Anyway, so how does Nova's life relate to a word beginning with Op?
- [15:11] Zeltan: TWAIN, NOVA
- [15:12] Kaz: perhaps she was an oprative
- [15:12] Zeltan: >..>
- [15:12] Maxwell: The Daughter
- [15:12] Maxwell: The Father
- [15:12] Maxwell: The Reaper
- [15:12] Maxwell: The Event
- [15:12] Maxwell: The Remains
- [15:12] Kaz: for the Network of Vesperian Agents
- [15:12] Zeltan: The Reaper?
- [15:12] Lkeas: That could mean Robert after all. Aka Dragon, aka Ptaah.
- [15:12] Lkeas: he did kill Matthew after all...
- [15:13] Zeltan: What event killed his daughter
- [15:13] Maxwell: That is not the event.
- [15:13] Maxwell: This all took place long before that.
- [15:13] Lkeas: Oh.
- [15:13] Zeltan: Ah
- [15:13] Lkeas: Birth?
- [15:13] Zeltan: So the event is related to Nova
- [15:13] Maxwell: Yes, it is.
- [15:14] Zeltan: Was it happy or sad?
- [15:14] Maxwell: A happy event for some, sad for others.

- [15:15] Lkeas: Heh.
- [15:15] Zeltan: Mmmk
- [15:16] Lkeas: Well, where should we go from here? We still don't know how to go about finding the locations of the stations.
- [15:16] Lkeas: We have a vague idea of where the first station is, and the second one orbits Sol 3...
- [15:16] Maxwell: I suppose you need some Hope and Faith.
- [15:16] Maxwell: I can not help you with it.
- [15:16] Maxwell: And I must be going.
- [15:16] Lkeas: Alright, take care
- [15:16] Zeltan: Ok, see ya
- [15:16] LordBarrius: Seeya later.
- [15:17] Kazuma: buh bye
- [15:17] Maxwell: If it helps, the stations are not all in the same universe.
- [15:17] Kazuma: that helps a bit
- [15:17] Maxwell: And for a very good reason.
- [15:17] Lkeas: Hmm.
- [15:17] Zeltan: Hmm.
- [15:17] Kazuma: (Wonderwall@755.755.755.755)
- [15:17] Kazuma: >.>
- [15:17] Lkeas: So it's possible two stations could be in the same location, in different realms/timelines?
- [15:17] Kazuma: yes
- [15:17] Zeltan: He just made it harder
- [15:18] LordBarrius: Eh.
