[17:28] * Lkeas watches the exchange, trying to restrain her growing terror
[17:29] * Avarie growls at Wes, her stance changing to one expecting an attack.

[17:29] * LordBarrius glares at Wes and Cartwright.
[17:30] * David turns a dial and Hadin appears ghostly and first and then substantial

[17:36] * Lkeas suddenly loosens her grip on David's arm and staggers backward

[17:36] * Hadin hobbles over to David to clasp a hand on his shoulder with a surprisingly firm grip. Nearly growling, he whispers to the man, "By the lords, lad, calm down and think logically. This isn't like you, don't ask how I know. It just isn't."

[17:37] * LordBarrius rushes forward and grabs hold of Lkeas to steady her. "Are you alright?"

[17:38] * LordBarrius glares at Cartwright, anger visible in his eyes. "Stop this!"

[17:39] Hsarc: Why are you all worked up? David is not going to fire the gun.
[17:39] * Lkeas stands and regains her balance slowly before turning to Cartwright

[17:40] Hsarc: It's all an act, Wes. He does not have the courage to do it.

[17:40] * Hadin glances between Lkeas and this Cartwright fellow, finally recalling the 'memo' from what seems like ages ago. After a few moments, he tries to probe with what little Arcana in him, while he continues to murmer to David. "Don't lad, put it down."
[17:40] * LordBarrius begins to shiver as if freezing.
[17:41] * Lkeas turns quickly to David
[17:41] Lkeas: David, don't listen to him!
[17:41] Wes: "he can delve into minds read memories and if he can do that he can control you too."
[17:41] Lkeas: you must think of the good deeds you have done! the people you have saved! you rescued us!
[17:41] Hsarc: It IS an act. If it was not, Cartwright would be on the ground bleeding right now.
[17:41] Hsarc: David is not going to shoot him. Put the gun away now and save us the time and you the embarrasment.
[17:42] * Lkeas grabs at her head and falls to her knees

[17:42] * LordBarrius drops to his knees, holding his head as if in great pain.

[17:43] * Hadin moves aside, startled as Lkeas collapses to her knees. Letting go of David, he hobbles to stand between her and Cartwright. "I don't know what you are up to, but leave them be, Cartwright."
[17:43] * Avarie had stopped short, distracted once Lkeas began acting strange. Seeing her fall, Avarie curses, and begins to approach Cartwright again with hopes of disrupting whatever it was he was doing.
[17:43] Wes: "lkeas just relax think of something else same goes to ou LordBarrius."
[17:43] David: "Yes.. Fire the Gun"
[17:43] Lkeas: i can't... can'tt... must fight...
[17:43] * Lkeas looks up from the ground, breathing heavily
[17:43] * David tightens his hand slighly on the trigger

[17:44] * Hsarc walks over to Hadin. "Step back. You are too important to be killed." He walks over to David and puts the gun in his chest. "Then do it."

[17:44] * Wes rushes to tackle David.

[17:45] Hsarc: Come on, David. I'm waiting.

[17:47] * Avarie lets out a short scream, then curses quite loudly.

[17:47] * David clearly is acting as the mouth of Cartwright who keeps laughing an inhuman laugh
[17:47] * Avarie 's eyes fill with an idea as she removes a shoe and throws it at Cartwright's head.
[17:48] David: "I will turn my attentions to you fully in a momment"
[17:48] * Hadin glances at Wes' corpse for a moment, both sickened and angered, and turns to Cartwright. Gathering the extent of his magic Arcana, he focuses on binding it to the bent of Disruption into the air.
[17:48] * LordBarrius gets onto one knee, still trembling. "A mess....I...."
[17:48] * Lkeas helps LordBarrius to his feet
[17:48] Lkeas: you must fight it off...
[17:48] Hadin: "If I have just enough...damnit all...come ON old bones."
[17:48] Lkeas: it is not who you are... who you really are...
[17:48] * LordBarrius shakes his head a few times. "No....this is....wrong...."
[17:49] * Avarie begins to tremble helplessly and uncontrollably. Legs no longer willing to support her weight, she half falls, half sinks to the ground.
[17:49] David: "I have killed another to redeem myself. Cannot live with the guilt. I am worthless. A murder. A beast"
[17:49] * David cocks the gun again

[17:50] * Lkeas wastes no time in rushing at David again
[17:50] * Lkeas grabs at his legs and knocks him to the floor

[17:51] * LordBarrius manages to stand, the pain residing a bit. "Have to....stop this...."
[17:51] * Lkeas writhes on the floor in excruciating pain

[17:53] * Lkeas curses and screams, letting go suddenly
[17:53] * Hsarc turns to the others. "Stop begging as if he was your superior. He is just a coward behind a gun."

[17:53] * Hadin looks at the ground. "Why now...why can't I do a damn thing that helps..." In a white-knuckled grip, he tosses his can with both hands at the 'gun' in defaince. "I'm not willing to accept that."

[17:53] * Lkeas collapses to the floor, her breath ragged in her chest

[18:10] * Hadin awakens to his cheek on blood-soaked ground and moans at the sight, his gorge no longer acknowledging his willpower and fighting to add itself to the mess as both sight and nightmare run rampant.
[18:10] * Lkeas slowly rolls onto her stomach and tries to push herself up, but slips slightly as her hands are covered in blood

[18:11] * Leo opens his eyes and starts trembling in fear.

[18:12] * LordBarrius wakes up to the sight of the blood and gore. He sits up and starts shaking a bit.
[18:12] * Lkeas sits up and pulls her knees close to her, rocking back and forth

[18:12] * Avarie 's eyes snap open, then narrow upon recognition. Her voice is filled with loathing as she speaks. "You."

[18:13] * Lkeas weeps bitterly and looks away from the necromancer
[18:13] * Hadin 's stomach surges anew, eventually adding bare stomach acid onto the slick accumulation.

[18:13] * LordBarrius attempts to stand, but feels too ill to try.

[18:14] * Hadin slowly drags the back of his hand across his mouth, the ill-taste not subsiding. He sits back, shuddering violently, and watches Morgan almost blankly.

[18:16] * Lkeas bends over and checks the controls of the machine to see if it is still powered
[18:16] Hadin: "I'll...pass...Though the last that happened, I was quite dead."
[18:17] * LordBarrius shakes his head slowly, still feeling ill. "No....I do not desire death."
[18:17] Morgan: "I will rid you of the Annunaki in the process"
[18:17] * Lkeas looks up suddenly
[18:17] Lkeas: you... you would rid us of the faceless?
[18:17] * Hadin shudders again and closes his eyes, suddenly reminded of *how* he died the last time.
[18:17] * LordBarrius looks up at Morgan. "Annunaki?  What is that....?"
[18:17] * Avarie 's shaking begins to subside and she starts taking stock of her surroundings, anger clouding her eyes.
[18:17] Morgan: "He cannot take or control you if you are made undead in my fashion"
[18:17] Morgan: "He cannot use you...."
[18:17] Morgan: "So yes.... I will rid you of the Annunaki"
[18:17] Lkeas: oh... that is what you meant... it would not save the others..

[18:20] * LordBarrius manages to stand at last, then turns to the others. "Well....what do we do now?" he asks weakly.

[18:21] * Lkeas closes her eyes
[18:21] * maieo goes to stand next to Lkeas *

[18:21] * David speaks hollow in monotone.... Crash repeats what he says
[18:21] * Leo turns to LordBarrius and shrugs. "I have no idea."
[18:21] * Hadin pales yet further as he stares at David. "That...that is what I'd have become...isn't it?"

[18:21] David: Untill uncretion is done

[18:22] * Avarie stands, her anger suddenly replaced by a wave of nausia, and she clutches at her stomach, repeating like a mantra, "Don't think about it."

[18:25] * David walks over to the door and opens it stepping out into the hall and rushing into the mens room where he begins audibly vomiting
[18:25] * Hadin falls to his knees anew, as nightmare both fact and vision overtake his mind.
[18:25] * LordBarrius looks about, confused and disoriented. "Wha....?"

[18:26] * Avarie stares at the door blankly, then grows angry, nearly shouting after David, "Not real? None of that was real? You bastard!"

[18:26] * Wes sits up slowly. "felt real." rubs his forhead
[18:27] Lkeas: Artificer, are you alright?
[18:27] Hadin: "It was...real enough.  Maybe that was the point...that I'm a worthless doddering fool..."
[18:27] * Leo frowns. "This is horrible... just horrible."
[18:27] * maieo crawls over to Wes. "Are you..alive?" *

[18:27] * Hadin begins shaking again.
[18:27] * LordBarrius struggles to stay standing, completely disoriented and very ill.

[18:28] * Avarie advances on David, screaming obsenities. When she nears him, she hesitates and punches the wall with her full strength, her curses turning towards herself.

[18:54] * Avarie visibly calms herself, reining in her emotions one by one, until with a pained sigh, she nods her readiness to the group.
