Welcome to Bywpedia, the open-content, non-profit wiki documentary of Backyard Wrestling occuring around ther world intercontinentally, internationally and globally, only enhancing as the years take its course. This unencouraged practice transpiring in the backyard has transitioned from contrasting phases trailing its initial inception said to be traced back to the late eighties, following World Wrestling Entertainment's Hulk Hogan's inspiring scoop slam to Andre The Giant at WrestleMania 3. The news outlets and media was positive in reviews for the pure backyard performances that portrayed well the favored stars of the antique generation. However, when the formation of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) met the demanding competition response of WWE in what precipitated the infamous "ratings war", a notorious era in WWE sparked and so began the iteration of the "attitude era" that garnered the global inspirational attention and influenced backyard wrestling to an all-time high volume of denigrating, smash-mouth hardcore violence confused with actual wrestling and conducted by untrained, incapable males within a weathered down backyard environment. In light of the events, media held pro wrestling culpable for the world-wide outbreak in teen pop culture, attempting to persuasively exploit and cite pro wrestling as a negative influence to society. After five years (1996-2001) of unspeakable, reckless destruction self-sacrificed by many, the backyard wrestling world settled in the realization resting assured that pro training was the way. Years later and hardcore violence in backyard wrestling has slowly predominantly phased out, ushering in a rather technical, high-flying-oriented product in a low/moderate backyard budget. Still with some backyarders wrestling untrained, they utilize the backyard exercise training with most gripping the hope of futuristically becoming a pro wrestler.
