The community stemmed after numerous closed pro wrestling-related news websites owned by Cam and after the motivational influence from ally, The Frank of Backyard Wrestling Association, who briefly managed his own backyard wrestling site, National New Age Alliance. Cam became fuelled to establish globally renowned (or individually known internationally) GBYWN.
