Members of the former HGEW coincidentally met at a local Indy event in Scotland, and began to discuss the old feds they once tried to run. After watching the Indy show, they were inspired to start up a new federation. They decided that they were going to take their time in starting up the federation, instead of rushing in to it at once. The federation was christened KOBRA by Alex Cruz and Warren Cristo, the actual meaning of the KOBRA acronym is only known by a few wrestlers in the company.

Federation Timeline

BAW (2008)

Backyard Adrenaline Wrestling was the pilot project of the federation known today as KOBRA. It was a low budget promotion based on a small trampoline in Nairn. Videos were uploaded to the (now defunct) Vidzamania video channel and the videos did not garner more than 70/80 views. BAW lasted until December 2008, where the roster decided to recreate the company after the winter break.

HGEW (2009)

HGEW was the 2009 remake of BAW. It was a higher budget promotion filled with top class editing and High Definition video cameras. HGEW first kicked off in the original home place of BAW, but decided the trampoline was too small and moved to a new location. At their new location, HGEW managed to film lots of new footage over the period of 5 months. Mainly due to featuring by CaliforniaKid1, HGEW's average video view count grew to 300+ and were starting to grow their own fanbase. HGEW were kicked off of their location after neighbours complained about the noise and violence. This led to HGEW shutting down. But not for good, as HGEW recreated itself during the latter months of 2009. The recreations did not last very long and often packed in very quickly. HGEW made over 7 failed attempts to re-start and they eventually gave up. HGEW made one last attempt to come back in February 2010 after filming one show. The show was met to good reviews, but people had grown tired of hearing about HGEW and had lost all faith in it. After this, HGEW decided to close up shop all together.

KOBRA Wrestling (2010)

Members of the former HGEW coincidentally met at a local Indy event in Scotland, and began to discuss the old feds they once tried to run. After watching the Indy show, they were inspired to start up a new federation. They decided that they were going to take their time in starting up the federation, instead of rushing in to it at once. The federation was christened KOBRA by Alex Cruz and Warren Cristo, the actual meaning of the KOBRA acronym is only known by a few wrestlers in the company. KOBRA is scheduled for a June debut and have set up a Twitter account to keep KOBRA fans in the know about when they start and plan to keep it running afterwards as a way of connecting with their fans.

Feud with NWE

While HGEW was in its dying days, former members of the original BAW had decided to create their own federation. This was kept on the extreme down low at the time. Once KOBRA had reformed, Nairn Wrestling Entertainment was announced. NWE are a ring federation based in Nairn, Scotland and have set their sights on competing with KOBRA. Although the two federations are at war, some of the NWE roster have decided to work with KOBRA aswell as NWE, and vise-versa.
