Episodes

Pilot Episode

Aired 6/2/10

HGEW hit the air with their first show of the year, and it was a can't miss line-up. The show started off with The Crew, a team consisting of MacDonald and Alex Page came to the ring. Jeff Jefferson explained that The Crew were not currently under contract. Alex Page did the majority of the promo and built up MacDonald. It was then announced that MacDonald would take on a local newcomer known as Aaron Payne. Aaron Payne arrived to cheers and applause from the crowd. The match was over in the space of 30 seconds as MacDonald finished him off with a swinging reverse DDT. The second match of the night was the last minute team of Zack Arius and Ryan Shadows vs Evan Angel and JKH. Zack Arius got the win for his team when he hit a stunner while JKH was going for a spear. The team celebrated in the ring, but as the camera went off, Angel delivered a brutal assault on JKH. The main event was the show stealer of the night as Alex Page defeated Zack Arius to become the first ever HGEW world champion. The end came when Page called for a time out, but turned round to Arius attempting an FU, which Page reversed into a Page Turner for the victory. This came as a shock to everyone as the Crew celebrated their victory in the ring. [1]
