The son of eccentric British war hero, Aloysius McCannon, Wright was always the more ambitious and adventurous child of the family. His brother, Lloyd, was the "sensible" one, and, as a result of this, Wright and Lloyd haven't spoken to each other in about thirty years.

He met his untimely end with his wife, Delaney Cooper, in 1883, during which the Brigadier Spenser Hawkes-Leggett accidentally blew up an entire fleet of airships.
