Juxtimon
From Brass Goggles
(Known aliases; Juxt, Sweaty George, Hercules Parallelogram, The Flaming Gazunder, Cocoa Bonanza, Stanky Golightly)
Born agrippa'd in an oil-drum somewhere in the south of Birmingham, Juxtimon grew up to be the most prolific (and arguably, only) member of the order of the Senex Puerilis or the childish old men. He is a collector of the obscure, the grotesque, the unexplained and the undesirable. His museum- The Stanhope Foundation, is housed in Northfield and is open for private viewings by appointment or invitation. It is worth noting that entry is normally only granted to the foundation upon receipt of a donation of either a small vial of dirt from the visitor's home or an item of interest to be added to the collection.
Juxtimon is not a steampunk and doesn't make or do anything steampunk, which often raises the question "so, why do you hang around on steampunk forums then?", to which we havent yet been provided a satisfactory answer.
[edit] Collecting & The Troll-Slaying Years
Juxtimon's magpie-like predilection towards collecting dubious items of questionable provenance started with his much celebrated 'killing' of a 'troll' in the Western Wastelands of Northfield. The elaborate tale seems to change with each telling; sometimes whole battalions of trolls advanced on Juxt, other times he found the troll sleeping in a cavern, and in at least one version of the story the troll failed to repay a gambling debt to Juxt and his death was deemed a fair outcome. Regardless of the varying content, the elements that remain constant are that he singlehandedly killed the creature and took its foot as a trophy (which is still on show at the foundation, listed as accession #4)
