HB Journal for Sep 4, 1940

From Brackbillwiki

More fair weather and we really enjoy it. I was late getting back to work but was right on the job when I got there.

In the afternoon, Mr. & Mrs. E. Herman & Daughter, Evelyn, went visiting--over home on the farm. I got bold and went on over to Hess' at New Holland and looked over some used Buicks. I drove a '41. I nearly bought a pretty blue '40 (all I needed was $800.00)

We had a farewell party for Harold after supper. We made icecream and ate it. The family had to get home early for the sake of its newest member.
