HB Journal for Sep 17, 1939

We got up in time, all right, and we got ready to leave on time but we were really late. Reason: our little Chevy wouldn't start.

Church was over at Old Leacock and the building was full. We went over home--to the farm--for dinner. Eunice & Val were there also.

We swam and boated in the afternoon and played croquet with the Buchers and Haldemans.

After supper we attended a fine C.E. meeting. Church was interesting and well attended. After church we went over to Sheaffers & then back home.
